Ignore my rant. He finally sent out an e-mail telling us the exam is cancelled.

Is anyone out there in Campbell's MAN 320F class? I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure out what in the hell is going on with the his class tomorrow. We have a test scheduled, but we were supposed to get a handout of an essay by Warren Bennis on Tuesday that was going to be covered on the exam--obviously, we didn't get that. He doesn't list an e-mail address on his syllabus, and I vaguely remember him saying something about not using e-mail at the beginning of the semester.

He had office hours this morning before UT reopened... I've been calling his office all day with no luck, so I finally looked up his e-mail address and sent him one, which he hasn't responded to. I called the management dept. to get his TA's name and e-mail address (he doesn't give us that info either, how fun), and the woman I talked to said that he had them run off the test, so she assumes he's giving it... but fuck, like he couldn't send an e-mail to the class letting us know what's going on, or at least post something outside of his office?

Dean Keeton is a train wreck by the engineering buildings--my mom says there're tunnels under there or something, which might have something to do with it (she worked in one of the buildings). I cant' imagine what the inner campus roads look like since there was probably very very light traffic on them today... and it was still misting and starting to freeze around ten. I'd honestly be shocked if we opened at 11 tomorrow.

It won't get much worse as far as weather conditions go, but the main problem is the temperature. I've heard that it's not supposed to get above freezing until noon at the earliest, so traffic will be horrendous tomorrow, given that no one is closing completely.

UT closed until 11:00 tomorrow morning, according to News 8 Austin. That could change later, because things are supposed to be getting worse.

If there is more freezing rain tonight, I'm pretty sure UT will be forced to cancel classes, at least for half the day tomorrow. To remain open in condictions like this is just asking for about a dozen lawsuits when people get into accidents and slip and fall on campus.

SF has irritated me from day 1, and not because I've got friends running on the Envision ticket. They sent me an e-mail back in the beginning of Jan. inviting me to work on their campaign--I know no one running on that ticket. They're SO obnoxious--they tailed me from the west mall to the tower the other day trying to get me to listen to their platform.

That said, I figured out a way to avoid the SG campaigning next year--at the beginning of the campaign, get a t-shirt from one of the tickets. From then on, wear it every day. The other tickets will leave you alone because they have no hope of getting your vote, and the ticket whose shirt you're wearing will leave you alone because they think they've already got your vote. That's the only way I could avoid the SF cronies... and the way they were screaming in Jester Monday was really pissing me off.

I drove to Taco C to grab lunch, and it looked like the sidwalks were in much worse shape than the streets--if they dont' sand them before classes tomorrow, I don't see how they'll hold classes without large numbers of broken bones.

Did anybody go to the step-show after-party and hear shots being fired? I didn't hear any shots.

I don't have class tomorrow anyway, so I don't really care one way or the other, but I'll cross my fingers for those of you who aren't so lucky. As reluctant as they seemed to be in cancelling classes today, I can't imagine that they'd do it two days in a row unless things get worse. I heard there was another freezing rain advisory though, so that's a possibility. I can't believe people are actually out driving around in this. I have enough trouble walking out there.

The ice in my apt parking lot is a quarter inch thick. I'm not going anywhere in my truck.

i just about busted my ass walking to my truck...seems that there's still ice patches in our parking spots.

I'm starting to consider venturing out for food... stupid me, I haven't gone to HEB in God knows how long, so unless I want to survive on Peeps and Cadbury eggs, I need to go grocery shopping.
