True, there's not much in Lubbock, but there is some stuff. Mackenzie Park is very nice with two golf courses, frisbee golf, and some ponds. Then there's Buffalo Springs and Ransom Canyon which are nice areas to go to and hang out. We have our Omni theater, our museum which had the Vatican exhibit, and of course, the Depot District which has some nice bars.
And as far as there being nothing to do in Lubbock as a point...well, what the hell do you do in Austin or College Station? I mean, what is there to do there that you couldn't do here? Do you go on life altering adventures everyday? I don't think so. I know plenty of people in Austin and a couple in C.S. that do pretty much the same thing we do out here. Go to class, go to work, and otherwise just sit around and relax with Around the Horn and PTI. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT TO DO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! And to address the shit smell...yes, it happens, but to be honest, I haven't smelled it in a long time. And when it does happen, it doesn't take but a few moments to get over it. Your nose will adapt. That is all.
"Get your dirty hands off of me, you damned dirty ape!"
