Can I redeem myself for the latter aspect of my heritage with the fact that I was a gymnast for 8 years?
Also a joke--the context of the statement.

Octoroon, I've heard the term quadroon before, so Im guessing this octroon has something to do with one of your great grandparents being black.

This whole thing with mixed lineages reminds me of a Faulkner book I read that had the term "octoroon." Five points to anybody who knows what this is without looking it up. P.S. It's use was primarily within European colonizers, especially the Spanish.

In my lifetime, a ton of people.... they'll say something jokingly, then either 1) remember who they're standing next to, or 2) feel like a moron if someone points out hte facts... no one specific to this board, if that's what you thought.

I'm thinking about submitting a design idea for the Red Bull Flugtag challenge coming up in April. The event showcases "flying machines," which should really be called "falling machines," that you launch off a platform into a body of water... hence my recommendation request for design help in designing something that will fly! Help! What do you recommend?
Here's the criteria for building a "flying machine" for the flugtag event:
1) Human-powered
2) 30' wide or less
3) 450 lbs or less (including pilot)

There is nothing wrong with putting your furniture outside, drinking 40's, eating fried chicken, and playing dominoes on MLK day. My God people, it was what the great Reverand was fighting for! He wanted blacks to be treated fairly. Well, they're getting the fair treatment (and then some thanks to UM) and I'm to be lambasted for celebrating Monday a little 'ghetto' style? For shame!

Thats more than true about the luxury of being offended. For example, a black comedian makes fun of white people, everyone laugs, a white comedian makes fun of black people and the al sharpton and jesse jackson types are on every fuckin news network screaming in outrage. But the only differences between this party and every other one that went on in every city in every state is a) They got caught cause they put up fliers like dumbasses and b)THERE WERE ACTUALLY BLACK PEOPLE INVOLVED. But i did attend a "getto party" and the thing i found amusing was, it wasnt a whole lot different that other nights with theses same friends. Drinkin 40's (we do that from time to time), Smokin blunts (they do it alot), And dressing like retards (the same shit they normally wear plus maybe a wristband or do rag which they allready had) Its hard to classify it as a Getto Party at all.

Tate has pledged to Iowa.
In an interview given five months ago Tate dismisses the traditional A&M offense and new QB Reggie McNeal by saying, "I don't care what the offense does or where I am in the line-up as long as we're winning. A&M knows how to win, and as long as they do that, I'll stay with the team, no matter who starts."
In an interview two weeks after the decommit Tate says, "A&M is going to look a lot more like Nebraska these next few seasons and that offense doesn't really suit me. I want something wide-open where I can pass the ball."
And yesterday Tate says regarding the offense as Iowa, "They're no run-and-gun but they're going to throw the ball when they need to. The system is fine."
Does this guy have any clue what he really wants?

Besides, he's in highschool, they always put weight on you in the first year and a half. Its really not that much of an issue.
