He's listed at 160, which means that he's LESS THAN 160. Cause they always spot you about 10 pounds and a couple inches in those things. So, seriously, how small is this guy? And Applewhite was probably more in the 170 range, but he was the smartest damn player I ever saw.

I have a question for Kelly. I was checking out the decipher names area and saw the picture. Is that a different Kelly? Isn't that picture in the Commons lobby? But you are from UT?

I had a bum in S.A. ask me for money for bus fare. He was going into a long story about needing to visit his family in the hospital. He said he needed 80 cents. That was pretty smart b/c he knew he would likely get an even dollar. If he asked for 75 cents there was the possibility of getting only three quarters. So I gave him a buck and noticed shortly afterwards he was walking towards the grocery store. I followed the guy and saw him in the alcohol aisle. He pocketed something, probably a 40. So I confronted him and got my dollar back. Looking back, I should have blackmailed him and told him I wouldn't report his shoplifting if he gave me all his money. He probably had some cash flow on him with all the people he scammed. But the main thing is I did get my money back from this dishonest bum. I hope you didn't give money to support the jerks crack whore or chainsaw.

I was walking down the drag earlier today, and actually had a drag rat say "spare some change for a crack whore or a chainsaw?" to me. Wow.

True, I forgot about Applewhite. But 160 lbs and almost 6 foot? Applewhite had to be at least 190.

Right, but the discussion was more of height's impact at the college level, not the professional level.

QB's can overcome height problems, no doubt, but to say it's not a factor is wrong. If it wasn't a factor Applewhite would've had a chance to play in the NFL. Flutie won the Heisman and still didn't get an NFL chance until years later (he proved them wrong, but a little QB playing well in the bigs is rare). The best QB's are those that can stand tall to see and throw the ball over the huge guys on the line.

Yeah... Applewhite wasn't exactly a giant.

Dude, reggie's only "six two" that brings him to 6 foot even. Height aint that big of a factor.

The stats say 6'0" so that would put him closer to 5'10" or 11". Noone would give him a 4 inch spot.

Honestly, I think he's overrated... Not saying Leach is great coach or anything, but he saw many come and go in his offense at Oklahoma, and he readily chose Philip Daugherty over Tate from the get-go. That shows me tate was overrated, ESPECIALLY if he was supposed ot be so great at the spread offense...
JMHO.

I didn't know anyone who thought he was that great. Tyrell is a real loss, but that's the only serious loss. But we got Jason Jack and Yoder and they are far and away better picks than Drew would ever hope to be.

Yes, that's Tate. And it's not that he decommitted...its that we didn't do the research and found out his size. Hell I was larger in eighth grade. Maybe earlier.

I agree that A&M doesn't need Tate, so his decommitment is not a big loss. However, I know several Aggies who were hailing Tate as one of the team's best commitments before he changed his mind. What is with the sudden change of heart among Aggie fans? The kid wants to play for a lesser program. Does that decrease his value as a player? Or was he simply not that great to begin with?

I think most of us on the board should have more sense than to judge a player's worth by his performance in one game with a bunch of players that he hasn't played with all year.

Third.
That was my point. I wasn't trying to say that anyone's numbers were impressive, just that there were no superstars on the entire south team.
