Okay, let me give you a little more advice. If I say absolutely nothing about OU in a post, don't somehow draw the conclusion that everything I say is a shot at the Sooners and that you need to break down the entire post to prove your worth. And if you do decide to use such tactics, make sure at least half of your statements are correct. Otherwise, I won't even be amused by your attempts to argue with me.
To quickly address a few of the points you made, yes Chris Simms did beat A&M three years in a row. The last time Texas lost to A&M was in '99 when Simms was a true freshman. Yes, Simms won at least 10 games in back to back seasons (10 in 2001, 11 in 2002). No, I did not mean (nor did I say) that he just decides to go out and suck against OU and play career games the rest of the time. It was a figure of speech, or hyperbole, or whatever you want to call it. Think metaphorically, please. And who gives a damn whether or not he won a national title? Many outstanding QBs never won national titles. What does that have to do with statistics? Numbers don't lie. No matter which games he lost, he still had better accuracy and efficiency numbers than any QB to ever play for Texas. He wasn't as successful as some of them, regarding national and conference championships, but hell, neither was Ricky Williams and he won the Heisman on a 9-3 team, based mostly on one stat. So what exactly is your argument regarding Simms and his position atop the record books?

And now for a little back to school rap from me...MARIO!
Headed back to school,
don't be a fool.
Make good grades,
don't get AIDS.
My name is Mario, I'm a real good plumber,
You think my name is Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber!
Well, that is whack, that poop ain't true,
I'll solve this mystery like Nancy Drew!
I love to kill Bowser, he's a fool,
He hates me cause I went to school!
My mom sells crack, my dad's a whore,
Shut your ugly face before I send you to the core...
OF THE SUN THAT IS!
Well, I love the Princess, you know that,
I kill little Koopas, while I wear my hat.
When I save the Princess, she gives me head,
I said, I'll get plenty of sleep when I'm dead!
Now is the end, of my rap,
Don't cry baby, cause that's some crap.
I'll be back soon, to bless this crew,
In the meantime, read The Taming of the Shrew!
Hey, it's a-me Mario! What did ya think of my rap Tamuters? I'm under Pace's name because I think Pace is cool...like me, Mario! So, anyway, on behalf of Mr. John Pace, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and make good grades so you can be like me, Mario!

I have to give Bob stoops all the credict. Bob stoops tryed to shake mac browns hand after the sooners as always stomped a mud hole in the longhorns, he was only trying to wish the coach good luck. Mac brown walks away from stoops like a stubbern old fart. Mac brown makes excuses on every game he looses, deep inside he know,s that the Texas quarter back may be by chance gay! I don,t know about you fruitbags but he sure looks it to me. Nevertheless when Texas got beat to Texas Tech, they begun to talk harshly about a good respected team, as mac brown called the coach of Texas Tech a sorry S.O.B. To say the least I and a few storm chasers that drive the doppler on wheels in the spring had heard rumers about this Longhorn quarter back, we have been told he had been seen with the maimi quarter back on the sunny beaches of maimi both sun-badding and setting closely aside, what doe this tell you? Also in still-water hours after the game he and another had been seen holding hands, what does this tell you?? Well it tells me I have flushed the longhorns down the toolit and I,am very sorry I rooted for them a few times this season, after hearing some recent rumers I nol longer will ever root for them nor will I have respect for them. Goodby folks, too many werd people and things take place on your team.

Ashley,
I'm quoting your post so I don't miss anything.
"My issue is that the only people claiming it wasn't a big game are Aggies."
-Also the Sooners are claiming this as well. Last years game against Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl was a little bit of tradition as opposed to the let's meet our neighbor to the East once every 40 years that happened this season.
"We lose some important players, but we've got numerous future stars waiting in the wings. The names of all those linemen and the #1 QB prospect in the state that we picked up last year spring to mind."
-And you've done what with it so far? Oh yeah the Cotton Bowl.
"If not for Brown, we wouldn't have those players. To those of you saying it's wasted talent, I'll refer you to Josh and Kelly's posts about our 11-win seasons and top 10 finishes."
-I refer you to the post that only Simms did ONE of those seasons by himself. And oh wait OU had top 10 finishes the last 3 years and 11-win seasons. So your point is what?
"As for Simms, no one is claiming that he didn't pick the worst times to have bad games."
-Yeah and the Dallas Cowboys choose the wrong games to lose this season too and they lost thier coach over it. I know it's a bad comparison, but c'mon he picked his bad games? And they ALL just happen to be against Top 10 teams. Please give me a break.
"But instead of looking at what he didn't do, think about what he did do." Blah Blah hasn't beaten OU, blah blah "A&M 3 years in a row" (Simms didn't win all three of those games) blah blah "he beat Nebraska in Lincoln" blah blah "Kansas State in Manhattan" (OU did it in 2000) Blah Blah he did this, he did that. And Whoopty Freakin Doo, alot of QB's around have thier quirks and beat the school rival away. And What he did do was in the first season he played all games, all he did was make it to the Cotton Bowl. *clap clap* If that's the quality of QB you want then you can have him.
--Wait this is the one that gets me--
"he finished his career with the best completion percentage and best efficiency rating in the history of Texas football."
-Better than ALL the QB's that ever one national championships for UT. Better than Major, better than most QB's in the country, yet WHAT IN THE HELL DID HE DO WITH THE TALENT??? Oh wait he lost EVERY freaking big game. He didn't even win a Conference title game. But wait he did so much as QB *sarcasm*
