Gee longhorns you sure had to stuggle to get that victory. Did you,all see the sooners give washington a whipping they will never forget? They kicked them plum out of the Rose bowl and made them leave with tears in there eyes by heading back up to washington wondering if there baseball team seattle was going to play the same way they did. My goodness I must have ate seven hotdogs and six bags of popcorn cheering on every toucdown the sooners made. The win was great, and the food was great but the washington fans seemed to have had no respect for a good lucking storm chaser like me. My gosh I must have met seven of the cutest cheerleaders of the sooners......By the way kids happy new years and yes to admit I,am glad the longhorns won to, however just as long as you all admit that Oklahoma is still a better team,,,,,,,,,

The LSU fans were driving me insane. Right now I'm sunburned, hoarse, and so freaking tired. There was also the point of the Aggie at the game with his A&M hat and a "saw 'em off" t-shirt... there were a few comments after the game about that one. You've gotta love the drunk hecklers. And in conclusion, it saddens me that the girl working at the concession stand could not add $3.50, $3.50, $3.00, and $1.25 in her head.

This just in: Winning a Cotton Bowl game against a team with quite possibly the worst throwing quarterback in the game next to Jammal Lord is not a "big win". I'm all for giving credit where credit is due, but beating a 4 loss team that played an average at best schedule and isn't even ranked in the Top 25 in some polls is not, and never will be, a big win.

I thought it was a nice touch of irony that "Chrissy's" last game as a college QB was a win in the Cotton Bowl. And a big win, at that. Of course it will never change his image in the eyes of those who want to hate him, but to people with a respectable amount of CFB knowledge, he will be remembered as one of the best to ever play for the University of Texas, and so will a few of his senior teammates.

I just watched a tape of the game, and as for the announcers, I think my little sister could have done a better job. What pissed me off the most (and perhaps I'm taking this a bit too seriously) was when one of them said "why would you pass to anyone but Roy Williams?" when a pass thrown to Sloan Thomas in the end zone was batted down. Obviously those guys did not watch any college football this season and didn't do a lot of homework in preparing for this game. Don't get me wrong, Roy is the best receiver in the game, IMO. He can do things that 80 to 90% of the receivers in the NFL can't do. But Texas is not lacking in the wideout department, and that's an understatement.

On a related note, has anyone noticed the complete and total ass-kissing ESPN is giving OU? Obviously, I'm a Sooner hater, but that is ri-damn-diculous.

I think they also had a "Chrissy Simms" camera trained on him the entire game so that they could cut to him every 5 seconds and tout his pro career. I thought it was a nice touch of irony that Chrissy's last pass as a college QB was an interception in the Cotton Bowl.

Nice to see that the Big XII South teams went 4-0 in their bowl games this year. Too bad the numerous games today thinned out the number of quality announcers available, leaving two sorry announcers to do the Cotton Bowl. I wish someone would've been there to telll them that not every Texas pass is going to Roy. I also like how they pointed out that college football, like the NFL, has the two-point conversion. I can't actually remember the college game not having the two-point conversion whereas the NFL only adopted it in '94.

Chris Simms will surely be missed (sarcasm). Hell, all the fans I sat by at the T+1 game are ready for him to be gone.

I am back from Taos (had a hell of a time, josh, you were right), and I just want to say that I am thoroughly disappointed in Nebraska and Colorado. Anyway, I am off to Big D in about 30 minutes for Chris and C-Redd's final game. Traffic will be a bitch.

my aunt got me one of those little rc cars for christmas. i think it's the same one...came in a dome, perched on a little base which is acutally a cleverly disguised remote control? pretty damn cool. i already broke the little charging dock, though, so i have to hold the car on so it'll charge.

John Pace, you are truly the Picasso of Generation X. I think we should all sit back and ponder of the art that flows from Mr. Pace's fingertips.
