I'm not sure what rock you're hiding under, but actually, you are an engineer once you earn the degree, you an engineer in training after you have passed the fundamentals of engineering exam (which I have) and you are a professional engineer ofter years of study under another professional engineer. You do not have to be a professional engineer to be an engineer in the state of texas, or most other states for that matter. Most electrical engineers are not licensed, most of the ones who are licensed are the engineers in construction industry, so they won't be liable if anyone gets hurt. I will be in the production and manufacturing industry, where I have yet to meet a licensed EE. I have over 2 years work experience from multiple co-op terms and have worked "under" many managers with engineering backgrounds without p.e. certificates.
If I did choose to go into politics or any other field that you can with an engineering degree, being a p.e. is not required (and hardly even noticed) there either.

I was in CS last night eating dinner at a resturaunt, and they had Junction Boys playing in the bar--I happened to catch the "University of Texas" line, and was completely thrown--I'd totally forgotten about the movie.

They blurred out the kangaroos in the movie cause they couldn't keep them out of the shot? That's hilarious.

In all seriousness though, I liked the movie. It was about as good as one of those kinds of movies is going to be. You can't expect too very much. It was just that the accents were so terrible. But the blurred kangaroos makes me like it even more.

The junction boys? I think it,s time for you to lay down your peice pipe litte one and relize that you are to young and can not handle the modern refer. For one thing the junction boys is a stupid movie filled with tons and tons of anoying advertisments. And due to the fact it is shown the fox sports channel it very much explains it. 'Junction Boys' recounts reckless time in Bear Bryant's life, career

When Kansas-raised filmmaker Mike Robe went to Australia to make the upcoming "The Junction Boys" about legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant, he had two major concerns:

"Could the dozens of young Aussie actors cast as Texas good ol' boy football players carry off the accent?

Could he keep the kangaroos out of camera shot?

"When they (Aussie actors) came to auditions, they were all doing this country-fried Southern accent that nobody in America has ever used," Robe said with a laugh during a phone call from his Los Angeles office.

Robe -- who shot the movie in Australia for budgetary reasons -- hurriedly imported Texas native Joe Stevens as a dialect coach to smooth out the drawls."

apparently this stevens guy was from some part of Texas i've never seen. Hats off to Berringer, he was excelent. About everything else was bad.

That's what happens when you try to have Aussies imitate Texas accents.

Most of these accents are terrible. It's like watching Brad Pitt in "The Devil's Own."

I am not that surprised that Carson Palmer won the Heisman trophy, but I am very surprised that Ken Dorsey finished last in the voting. I know it is supposed to be a one year award, but you can't ask much more from a QB that will have led his team to two consecutive undefeated seasons while winning two national championships.

Yeah, I hear people at tech are always looking for reasons to live.
