For a "storm chaser" you sure spend more time making yourself look like an idiot on here than you do running around in your Mom's station wagon chasing hailstorms.

Yes yes I can smell another Jolie situation happening again. And wouldn't you know he's from Oklahoma. I mean granted it's the best Meteorology school in the country, but you'd think they would throw an English class or something in there.

So that article floating around the AP that ESPN and the others are using is TWO FUCKING WEEKS OLD?
God, I hate journalists.
If sources can be believed, it's "official" that Tate is going to Iowa to look at their program but hasn't said that he intends on decommiting, merely exploring other programs until a new head coach is named.

These two articles were written today and both say the exact opposite of what Websider is reporting.
A friend of mine has a premium ticket on A&M's Rivals site (www.websider.com) and he says there was an article on there that said some of the recruiting gurus from Rivals contacted a number of A&M's current commits and they all said that officials from the university told them that it was a done deal. Ivan Maisel, the guy who wrote the article for ESPN admitted that he got his info 2 weeks ago, which pretty much means it doesn't matter anymore. As for CNN, who knows? Franchione hasn't said anything, one way or the other. He hasn't confirmed a contract extension with Alabama, and he hasn't denied any interest in A&M. Officials from Alabama claim that Franchione said he would stay with the Tide. But Fran is still dodging the questions.

What the hell . . .? What's the website for the Fran thing? Everybody else (i.e. ESPN, CNN-SI) were reporting that the brass at Alabama is saying they had all but retained Fran. (Granted, Fran still hasn't said shit). So, are they saying that the committs for A&M have been contacted and told that Fran will be the new head coach?
Fucking soap opera.

Hell, despite OU having two losses, it could end with two more losses and I would be completely happy, for two reasons. One, Nebraska is having a horrible year. Two, we beat Texas, again. I love it!

Speaking of recruiting class. I think there were something like 12 different people that switched from Texas to Oklahoma after OU handed them another loss this year in Dallas. Damn Longhorns, just think. Since OU choked he big chicken against OSU, if you guys would have beat Tech you could have wrapped up the Big 12 South. haha. Oh well, at least you don't have that far to drive for the Cotton Bowl.

Websider is reporting that Franchione is almost a done deal to sign with A&M. They are claiming that they contacted recruits and were informed by the recruits that university officials told them Franchione would be the new coach. This is getting ridiculous.

Who cares if A&M's recruiting is affected or not by RCs firing? It hasn't amounted to shit the last few years anyway. What bowl are you guys going to be going to? Weedeater.com Bowl? People in here for A&M talked all of that shit at the beginning of this year. Honestly though, RC was one helluva coach, not a bad record at all, just in a real tough conference. Stupid move firing him I think.

Well, I have a friend at NU who says that Byrne would not schedule reasonably tough OOC opponents and that he's a freak about charging students an arm and a leg for tickets. He says no one at big-name football schools takes the man seriously, and he was ecstatic to see him go. JMO, but I think A&M should have lobbied hard for Pedersen at Pittsburgh. That man has gotten things done at Pitt. He brought in a good coach who took the football program from the doldrums of the Big East to being a true contender, plus he worked with administrators to get more funding for football to make it a priority, which it wasn't for most of the '90s. Even Pitt's bball team is flat out scary now that they've gotten a decent coach in Ben Howland, and they have a seriously kick-ass basketball arena now. It probably would have taken a lot of money to get him, but damn, I would have been afraid of the Aggies if that had happened. Maybe. If they had gotten Alden from Missouri, getting Franchione as HC would have been a lot easier. Those two have a history. And I really need to lay off the caffeine.

ashley, have bad things been said about byrne? if so, what? i'm not contradicting you, but i just haven't heard any bad things yet. i do know that nebraska's athletic operating budget almost tripled under byrne's direction, though, which is at least somewhat encouraging.

I haven't slept in 37 hours, the Business Fair is tomorrow (we're giving out free cookies at our booth :P), I had two huge tests back to back today, my group sucks absolute monkey ass, and I want it to be Thanksgiving again. I'm not sure if I want to laugh, cry, or just sit here. I keep thinking that I should be absolutely dead right now, but I'm just not tired. Must be all the pissed off energy from my moronic group members.
On the bright side, I aced both of the tests, so it could be MUCH worse.
