Anybody know if We're having football on saturday? Big12sports.com hasn't posted anything. I know SMU and TCU aren't playing, just wondered if anyone had heard anything.

Fo real. I still want to kill some fuckers. Where do I enlist?

Kumquat - welcome to the world of too-much-money-spent-on-beer. It's expensive, but it's fun. The ritual is that you buy the next keg for everyone. Sorry, but that's the way it works. Closest one to 21 buys the next keg.

Nostradamus = horseshit. Lock a hundred monkeys in a room with typewriters and you'll eventually get Shakespeare.

'Nuff said about that.

Though you may think the predictions of nostradamus are vague enough to apply to everything... well, let me ask this--Have you read anything out of the Centuries? Have you read books of interpretations? Or did you just hear something someone said to you and felt you could relate that one interpretation to everything? The Centuries are not all totally vague to where you could make it out to be anything. His writings were cryptic (by different languages, telling times by using the stars, locations based on size--countless methods, etc.) and relate to each other with certain algorithms. Beats the hell outta me how to crack the code in his writings... some think they have, and some are just complete idiots... anyways, blah blah blah... blah blah

Well... I can't explain my feelings towards Afganistan any better than this quote...

"Kill them. Kill them all."

Yeah New York is defintely not the city of God. I can see that applying maybe to Israel or something because of its ties to the Bible and the book of Revelations. If you didn't know, Saddam has two sons who hate each other. Maybe that will apply down the road.

To clear a little bit of this -- once again, misinformation -- up: the quote people are throwing around supposedly from Nostradamus is totally false. Despite the fact that it was supposedly penned over 50 years after his confirmed death, it was actually written 11 years ago by a student writing a paper on why Nostradamus was ingenious by being so vague about his predictions. Part of the quote is just the writer's example of how you can be so vague and STILL find something that comes along to match up with it. The "third world war..." part was just tacked on by whoever started the rumor.

of course people don't figure out what nostradamus was saying until it has happened. that's because what he said was so vague that it can be interpreted in countless ways. you can apply things that he said to almost any situation and they'll sound believable. so anytime anything of significance happens, people find some nostradamus quote that sounds like it applies. plus, he said SO MANY THINGS. if all i did was sit around all day saying obscure phrases, i'm sure eventually some of them would sound true and i would then ascend to the state of mysterious psychic. if i said, "when the golden sphere cracks, night will become permanent," someone might read it and then think the world is going to end because they saw a gold-colored volkswagon beetle get in a car accident, when all i was actually thinking about was the fact that my lightbulb has been burned out for a month and i can't see shit!

"With tears streaming down her face, 24-year-old Gillian Volk stood this morning near the rubble of the World Trade Center, where her fiancé worked. Kevin Michael Williams, also 24, worked for an investment firm on the 104th floor of one of the twin towers. Volk said he had called after the first blast Tuesday morning to say they were being evacuated. But she hadn't heard from him since. "I know he's going to come back to me," she said. "I'm not going to lose hope." The high school sweethearts are engaged to be married on Dec. 1."

When do we get to start retaliating?

These conspiracy theories are tripping me out. It's hilarious.

I do want to mention the rescue effort has already produced fantastic results. Several living people have been pulled from the WTC wreckage already, and stories abound about the unselfish and heroic efforts of volunteers, New York citizens, and public-service people.

Latest estimate of the death toll in the WTC tops 1000 ... latest estimate of the death toll at the Pentagon is 100. Our prayers with the vicitms and their families.

Ok, I just heard a conspiracy theory that secret faction of the US government was behind this attack, in an attempt to shock American citizens and thus make the implementation of a police state and the New World Order easier to accept. This would also, presumably, explain the Oklahoma City bombing.

Redneck, paranoid, rifle-toting psychos of the world...unite.

Nostradamus did not write just one book; he wrote a collection of them known as The Centuries. They were written in serveral languages, and in cryptic form in order to save his skin during those times. What you have found are the mere interpretations from numerous people that hope they are accurate; unfortunately, people never figure out what Nostradamus was predicting and when it was to occur until it has happened. One thing I can assure you of through my own research is an interpretation that many people seem to have wrong (mainly because it is based on rumors). Nostradamus does not predict the end of the world at the beginning of this century--he predicts on-going war for many years. The end of the world doesn't come for a long, long time. So don't go sounded like a fool saying the end of the world is coming.

Not to dwell on it and thus become part of the what the terrorists were trying to accomplish, I will say this.

George Bush is a tool. The words that come out of his mouth and his views are the views of a governing body behind him. I do not believe Dubya is a leader, I believe he is a figurehead.

With that said, I would also like to mention that I think the governing body that IS the hand behind the sock puppet is doing an efficient and thorough job. There are more things going on behind the scenes than any of us realize I'm certain. I like Dubya, I think he was hands down the best person for the job out of the realistic candidates.

And yes, I'm a silly conspiracy theorist and I eat up all that shit. lol
