On this, the anniversary of the Bonfire collapse, I am reminded of why I love this school so much. At A&M the students left their beds at the 3 in the morning to help remove logs and look for survivors, pray for those still trapped, and mourn the passing of fellow Ags. In Austin, they rallied around their in-state rival expressing condolances, prayers, and even bussed students to College Station to help.

Right now I'm reminded why I love A&M so much, respect UT as much as I do, and don't think twice about Tech.

Okay in other news. The Iraqi president Sudamm Husien (spelling?) is allowing U.N. inspectors to search the country for weapons, mainly the mass destruction type in hopes of keeping the peace. But with one false move, George W. will likely slam a smart bomb down his throat. And I'm all for it.

I scoff at the hearsay of the "stabbings, assaults" that SUPPOSEDLY went on after the game on Saturday... assuming it even IS true, I highly doubt it was ALL Tech's doing, and don't even act like yall are any better. Call us classless clowns if you like, but we all know it's out of jealousy, because Texas Tech is on the rise to becoming the REAL University of Texas.

I also thought I'd mention...after the classless clowns beat UT, there were numerous disorderly conduct citations in and around Phone Booth Stadium, to the point where cops had to call in backup. The celebrating that night resulted in 2 stabbings, a number of assaults, and 2 drunken idiots trying to steal a fire marshal's Chevy Blazer.

With all of the trash talking that is going on here, I wanted to change the tone for just a second. I like many others at Tech would like to again offer our most sincere condolences to those who lost there lives in the tragic bonfire incident of 99'. I attended the ceremony, and just wanted to say I feel for the students and families that lost their loved ones.... God Bless~
