Damn, every game that Texas Tech has lost has been to a ranked team. They are no pushover, I am going to pick them over the Horns this weekend. Thank goodness OU is playing them in Norman in 2 weeks.

Yeah, there's no place for vandalizm by any school. It realy surprises me that our saddle tramps would do that, considering they have to stand guard 24/7 around UT and A&M game times near our statues since they have been vandalized frequently in the past.

I think it's stupid that anyone would do that, but there are a lot of sore losers and boastful winners that do. (Not just Tech)

I also agree that this years win isn't anything to rub in... but it is a win. Boasting about it isn't the best thing to do, but there's no problem with claiming the win.
The thing is, knowing the ags... I'm sure they'd be much more boastful about that win (If they had made their extra points) than the couple of people from tech on this board have...

Holy shit. It was a 1 point win in OVERTIME. Yes, I'm glad we won, but it's not a game to rub in anyone's face. It was one damn point in overtime, which says to me that our team was pretty much evenly matched throughout the majority of the game. If you want to pick a fight, this is not the game to do it with.

People from UT lost any respect for Tech they MIGHT have had last year when the morons who like it up the ass--a.k.a. the Saddle Tramps--vandalized the campus. Don't ever accuse students from another school of not having class. You have no room to talk.

Correction: the rule is that if the #3 team is NOT the conference champion, they are guaranteed a BCS bid (as is the conference champion) and if the #3 team IS the conference champion, then the #4 team gets an at-large bid.

The BCS will straighten itself out. Playing Baylor, we were bound to drop at least one place. But Washington State and OU have even more of creampuff schedules left than we do, so if we win out, everything will take care of itself. It would be really helpful if WSU, Ohio State, and Miami could lose a game.

After Kansas State finished 3rd in the BCS in 1998 but was denied a BCS bowl slot because they lost to A&M in the conference title game, a rule was put in place that the #3 team would be guaranteed a BCS bowl if one of the national title game teams was from their conference, and there is a rule this year that if the #3 team is a conference champion, the #4 team is also guaranteed one of the at-large bids. Therefore, Texas just needs to finish 3rd or 4th to get a BCS bowl. A lot will now have to happen for Texas to go to the Fiesta Bowl, but the Sugar Bowl is not at all out of the realm of possibility.

what is your logic for having Iowa St and K State above OU? We play Baylor this weekend. That puts OU at 5-1 above 5-3 Iowa (assuming a win this weekend) and 5-2 K State (assuming a win this weekend) And then the following weekend is Tech in Norman, which I see OU prevailing. which brings OU up to 6-1 even with Texas and Colorado. OU then traveling to Stillwater on t+2 for the Bedlam game (OU winning is my hope) and with Texas beating A&M that puts OU & Texas at 7-1 in conference and since OU beat Texas that puts OU as Big 12 South Champs playing more than likely Colorado again. And from there it's a toss up. Look what happened to Texas last year when they played CU a second time.

So it doesn't really matter what Tech does this weekend against Texas (although a Tech win would seal a better deal for OU being Big 12 South Champs.)
