Tech beating Texas makes more sense than A&M beating Texas... a lot more sense.
We beat A&M without a homefield advantage, and you think you can beat Texas with them having a homefield advantage? yeah right...
Texas has to come up here and play on our home turf... which isn't an easy feat... you ag's should know that considering that you haven't been able to pull it off in a few years.

In one week:

Colorado
K State
Iowa State
Texas
OU
Tech = A&M at 4-3 a piece

Concede your two season ending losses and admit you'll never win a Big XII, much less a South.

Me  - Texas A&M

Iowa State and Kansas State, in one week, will placed above Tech. Not to mention ranked above Tech in the AP and ESPN.

Tech will beat Texas? Tech will beat Texas? Unranked Tech who is 4-2 in the Big XII will beat # 4 Texas who only lost to #2 (at the time) OU?

Yeah, I'm the one who needs to think before I type.

"Me":
Yeah, Tech beat A&M when A&M was ranked. I knew that ag's would start talking like bad-asses after one win. Don't get me wrong, that was a great win... but you did still lose to Nebraska and OSU... don't forget that.

Wins are all that counts. I hate to admit it, but that's how it works.
Oh, we're not in the top half of the conference?
If I'm not sadly mistaken, this is the rank right now:
Texas (5-1)
Colorado (5-1)
Oklahoma (4-1)
Texas Tech & Kansas State (4-2)
Iowa State (4-3)
Nebraska & A&M (3-3)
OSU (2-3)
Missouri & Baylor (1-5)
Kansas (0-7)
Looks like the top half of the big 12, and the top half of the big 12 south. Maybe you should think before typing.

I see our record ending at 5-3, Texas at 6-2, A&M at 4-4.
We'll beat Texas in Lubbock, Texas will beat A&M in Austin. And although I wish we wouldn't, we'll probably lose to OU in Oklahoma.

Plus, has LCC even beat a ranked team all season?

Monday Nov 11th 12:06pm
Me  - Texas A&M

Okay, if wins are all that matters where does LCC stand in the Big XII South right now? Oh yeah, right above us (for now) and below two other teams. And that's only cause you haven't played them yet. Only a guy from LCC would say that wins are everything when they don't even have enough to be in the top half of the conference.

Brian:
You're talking about the close calls and who beat who, etc...
We beat Ole Miss, Ole Miss beat Florida, etc... We beat you, We killed OSU who beat you, but all that doesn't matter... it's the wins that matter.
We almost beat NC State, but that doesn't matter... we lost. That's what counts.
Coming close is great and it feels good to know you played a good team that well, but it's still the win or loss that counts.
Close just doesn't cut it in football.

8 Mile is a very good movie. I highly recommend it.

Kyle you are such a moron. How in the fuck are you gonna come after the Aggies. Our 1 win. Screw that. We beat Pitt who beat Va. Tech and we played Va Tech real close. We have been close in every game we've played. One or two less interceptions at key times. One or two more made XPs or FGs and we're looking at 9-1. So you can say whatever you want, but at the end of the season after you lose to OU and Texas and we win out and have the same record as you in conference you won't be too happy cause you know we are better than you. And to close this post with some class: Kliff smokes man meat.

Tech win the Big XII South? Are you kidding? You already have 2 conf. loses are are gonna get two more before the season's over. 1-100 chance? Right. Try 1-100,000 chance.

Plus, win over #1 team in nation versus a win over an unranked team (no matter who they beat). You decide who should issue congrats on that one.

Plus, enjoy Kliff while you've got him. When he leaves, so does your program cause he IS your program. Simms may be leaving, but Texas has a great QB waiting to come up. And Reggie is a true freshman with the top Texas high school QB red-shirted on his heels (Drew Tate from Baytown Lee).

It's sad for you Raiders when it's the best year of your program and you still only come in third (at best) in the Big XII South.

I agree with JD that the newfound parity in the Big 12 will make it much more difficult for a team to go undefeated, and I was impressed that the Red Raiders beat OSU so badly. I was expecting it to be a lot closer.

My argument about Kingsbury is not that he's a bad QB. But the reason he has so many more yards and TDs than everyone else is because he has hundreds more attempts than everyone else. That doesn't necessarily make him a better QB. Cedric Benson is one of the best red zone RBs in the country, so he gets a lot of scoring opportunities. In an offense that relies on the run as much as Texas does, your QB is not going to have monstrous passing yardage or TDs. If Simms played in the same kind of offense that Tech runs, I'm willing to bet he could put up numbers even better than Kingsbury's.

pap smar, dirt monkey, Rump Raider, dumbfuck, etc..... so let me get this straight, Tech fans need to get some class???

Oh, and Get over your 1 win aggies, your still going nowhere.

Get some class?
You want me to say A&M did a good job beating OU?
Sure, good job! I'd pick a Texas team over any other, almost any day...
I didn't see the game, so I don't know how well either team played.

BTW, I didn't see a big "congrats" post to Tech for giving those cowboys a good ole' fashioned ass kicking (yeah, the boys who beat A&M)... instead I hear you cry that you want me to congratulate you on your win... I just don't understand.

The last thing a person that comes on here from UT or A&M should talk about is class. I'm pretty sure the harsh words are coming from them...not us.

Blah  - Texas A&M

A&M knocks off #1 Oklahoma, and the goddamn Lubbock pap smears on this board can't just say "congrats", they have to throw out statistics showing that LCC is still better than A&M. Get some fucking class already. If LCC beats OU or Texas, I'll say "way to go"...I won't jump on here citing meaningless polls or quoting some sports reporter from New Hampshire to prove that A&M is better.

About Kliff...
He is a damn good QB. Being QB is about playing smart and making the right plays. Sometimes that's on the ground and sometimes in the air. As you say, in our "system", we get more air yardage. But if you haven't seen the past few games, we've had a RB tearing up some turf. Also, have you guys heard of Wes Welker? I'd say he's a contender for the best all around player in the big 12... great receiver, runner, punt returner... he does it all.

About quality wins...
Take a look at the Sagarin ratings... Tech (29) is still ranked over A&M (39). Our schedule is sitting at the 16th toughest while A&M sits with the 50th toughest. We did beat A&M, which I do consider a quality win, even if you weren't ranked... and ole' miss.

I'm not gonna say any school in the big 12 sucks... well, except for Baylor and Kansas, but anyway. I think there's too damn much competition in the big 12 for any one team to stand out. Oklahoma was doing a good job of that, but with a conference this good, something was going to happen sooner or later. With most teams as equal as they are, I don't think we'll see any undefeated big 12 teams for quite a few years to come.

I was just about to make the same comment about Kliff being good in his system. It is kind of like how the Florida QB's under Spurrier racked up some numbers that far exceeded their talent.

Sunday Nov 10th 9:08pm
Ashley ®  - UT Austin

Kingsbury is good in his system, but Texas (and most everyone else) has a little something called a running back, who tends to gather some yardage that Simms and his receivers would otherwise be collecting. The fruits of a balanced offense, may they long prevail.

KGaggie  - Texas A&M

West Texas Dirt Monkey Nation talking shit (R.C. on a mobile). Please, some Raider out there tell me what quality win you have this year. OHHHHH my bad...New Mexico. Go Rump Raiders....

Sunday Nov 10th 7:01pm
Chivas  - UT Austin

A&M beats the #1 team in the Nation, and some dumbfuck from Tech says A&M "still sucks"?

Hey, I have an idea. Go unfuck yourself.

Sunday Nov 10th 6:58pm
Kyle  - Lubbock Community College

Okay, so let me get this straight... if we win our next two games, we're 6-2 in conference, same as UT and OU, and we own the tie-breakers, so we would go to the Big 12 Championship, we win there we would actually go to a fucking BCS bowlgame(sugar to be exact). Holy Shit, now that would be the shit to end all shit. Ya I know its a 1 in 100 shot, but in college football who knows, anybody see the LSU game yesterday??
By the way, all this Reggie vs Chris argument or whatever, its a pointless discussion, everybody knows the best QB in Texas is Kliff Kingsbury(best in the Big 12 for that matter). He's 18 yards from 4000(this season), he's thrown 35 TD's (OVER twice as many as Simms) with the exact same # of interceptions (10). And this little a&m boy, he won ONE GAME, GET OVER YOURSELVES YOU STILL SUCK!! If anybody wants to try and make an argument for why Kliff aint the best in the Big 12 fire away.

Sunday Nov 10th 2:53pm
Me  - Texas A&M

I'll continue my name calling of Simms as long as I want. "Why?" you ask. Cause he sucks. I stand by that. I pray nightly Jerry Jones doesn't do something else stupid, like try and draft the loser.

Sunday Nov 10th 2:40pm
Ashley ®  - UT Austin

You conveniently left out what happened the last time Simms played the Aggies in Austin, which I do believe is the location of this year's contest.

Bottom line: Texas is #3 in the coaches poll and #4 in the AP poll. I don't see A&M's name anywhere except the "others receiving votes" category. So when Reggie and company come to our house and beat us like they beat OU, then you can continue your name-calling.

Sunday Nov 10th 2:00pm
Me  - Texas A&M

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand McNeal did more in one game against OU as a true freshman (with half the team talent) than Simms has done his whole career against OU. You can't argue it: Simms chokes every big game.

Sunday Nov 10th 1:57pm
Me  - Texas A&M

Last Aggie v Longhorn game. Simms = 125, 0 TD's. How is that making us his bitch?
