Kelly, me? Delusional? I don't think so toots. Now listen here, sweet thing. I know Tech football. I've seen Aggie football. That GODDAMN wrecking crew bullshit is so overrated. If I hear another fucking faggot say something about the wrecking crew, I really might go delusional and start killing. I've been known to kill. I've killed largemouth bass, snapper, shark, crappie, bream, catfish...you name it, I've killed it. I love to eat meat. RARE MEAT! YEAH! I think that whenever we beat A&M, Tech should eat the football players. We could marinate them in teryiaki sauce and then serve them on shishkabobs. I love shishkabobs. So, tell me KELLY! WHO'S FUCKING DELUSIONAL?!?!?!

Well, I don't know about that. Va Tech was a good squad, and A&M just made a couple slight mistakes, if A&M had messed up just once, the whole game would have turned. I had no idea how good A&M's defense was until I watched them yesterday. I am a Sooner fan, but I won't lie, I think everyone is always nervous when the Sooners have to go to College Station, and if you will remember correctly, in 2000, the year OU won its last title, OU had to pick off a pass to win the game, A&M was driving and was fixing to slam the door on the Sooners, which would have knocked them from championship contention. They are no joke. OU and A&M may be in the same position this year. They just might beat the Longhorns and the Sooners. If that is the case, they can still win the Big 12.

Ashley, I am very impressed with your knowledge of football. I wish all fans of their respective college teams would take the time to learn a few facts instead of just attending games out of obligation. Nothing pisses me off more at A&M games than to have a fan, who obviously knows nothing about the game, feel the need to vocalize his/her shitty opinion. For those people, I offer a quick lesson:
1. RC Slocum does not call our offensive plays.
2. Any penalty against us is not the result of some spite the refs have against our team. If we get hosed on a call, then it is time to bitch. Otherwise, don't bitch.
3. When the ball is deflected, you won't see any PI calls(many UT fans around me obviously didn't know this one at A&M/UT '00).
4. College football and NFL football are different. Please don't expect a two minute warning, and please do expect the clock to stop when the chains are moved after first downs.
5. When you are in the other team's territory, yard line + 17 = field goal distance. If this number is over 50, don't expect a field goal attempt.
6. When a penalty is called, the referee will make an initial hand signal for this call before later repeating the hand signal and giving a verbal description of the penalty. Learn these hand signals. Then, you don't have to look like an idiot when you react only to the verbal announcement, and you still know what is going on in case of a microphone failure.
7. When it is very late in the 4th quarter and your team is losing by a small margin, you don't have to yell to encourage the coach to go for it. That is a no brainer.
There are many more things that piss me off, but I can't think of them all right now.

Josh, did I say something negative about our football team? I believe I was "bitching" about the refs and our fans. Trust me, I'm about as far from the typical Texas fan as you're ever going to meet.
I think we have a damn fine team, but honestly, we're not playing like a top 5 team at this point. Are we good enough? Sure we are. But we were good enough last year too, and that didn't turn out so peachy, did it? We're not anywhere close to Miami's level right now, so let's cut that bullshit for the time being. We're definitely better than OU at this point, and maybe Tennessee. Then again, they did play Florida, and we did play Cougar High, so really, that's apples and oranges. I won't apologize for not being excited about a 30-point win over Houston.
I agree with your assessment of the game. I never said that we didn't play decent football. This was probably the most balanced performance of the three games we've played thus far. Against UNT, defense was fantastic, OL sucked like a shop vac. Against UNC, offense was outstanding, defense was not great. Tonight, we were at least on the same level on both sides of the ball. I was also impressed with our special teams work, especially given the absence of Nathan Vasher from the lineup.
Two things you said that I didn't agree with: BJ Johnson and Chance Mock. Last year, BJ was the most consistent of our receivers and this year, he's dropped numerous passes that my grandmother could have caught. Not saying the guy isn't talented, but he's not playing like BJ Johnson right now, and if Roy is gonna be out for any amount of time, he better step the hell up. Sloan Thomas is still a top-tier WR, but Kyle Shanahan and Tony Jeffrey are not. It's that simple. As for Mock, geez, where do I start? I don't even think this guy has the playbook memorized. If he had been playing any longer than he did, Houston might have made a game out of it. Everybody knows Mock is gonna be a career backup, so giving him any more than 2 or 3 reps of mop-up duty is really not necessary. Next year is all about Vincent Young. This is Simms's year, for heaven's sake, let him do his job.
I'm glad we open conference play against a team like OSU. They're a program building some momentum, and I don't think they're going to be intimidated by us. It's a game we should win, but it won't be a cakewalk. It'll be a good chance to find out if we're as good as we think we are before we head to Dallas.

Ashley, did you bitch about something after UNC, too? Jesus, complaining about a game when we win by 30. And you wonder why the nation claims that Longhorn fans suck ...
Perfect? No.
Damn good? Yes.
Better than A&M? Yep.
Better than Miami? Maybe. It could be argued so.
Better than Tennesse? Oh yeah.
I saw many things in this game that give me hope. The middle linebacker seemed to realize that the cutback lane is his responsibility on an off-tackle run or QB scramble. Reed Boyd made several nice plays, both on actual tackles and simply keeping his "contain." Our freshman DB's played extremely well. Aside from Michael Huff's INT return, Cedric Griffen had several nice tackles in run-support, as well as an excellent night in coverage. Our OL allowed Cedric Benson to rush for another 150 yard performance, and showed execellent improvement in the pass-blocking arena. I believe that there were only 2 sacks allowed, and one was a 4-second coverage sack taken by Simms, and not the fault of the OL.
I would like to see some adjustment made so that we don't go 0-fer in the 3rd quarter next week, and I would like to see BJ Johnson have a ball thrown his way. We could be getting a little more pressure with the front 4 on defense so that we don't always have to bring a safety or a corner to hurry the QB, and Chance Mock should have been playing at the start of the 4th quarter, not just with 5 minutes to play.
And GODMOTHERFUCKINGDAMMIT. Get healthy quick, Roy. We need you back, and you don't deserve to be hurt the first time in the last 4 years that you're actually 100% healthy.
