this is just another example of what happens when you give a raging, testosterone-filled idiot a badge, a gun, and a uniform...

Well I'm not excusing the cop's behavior, but think about it...if you spent your life dealing with murderers, gangbangers, rapists, and pistol-packin' drug dealers on a daily basis in LA, wouldn't you snap at some point too?

This is amazing. It makes no difference whatsoever what that kid did before the tape started. Nothing could possibly justify beating the kid senseless. Here's the thing - he was IN HANDCUFFS. He could not possibly have posed a threat, especially to four grown men. Had all this stuff happened before or during the arrest, sure, go for it, kick his ass, SeaBass. But this all happened AFTER the arrest.

THIS is why the cops have a bad name, especially in LA. There is no such thing as "deserving" a beating. What he deserves is his day in court, and if what he did was so bad, then he deserves a few days in jail. Other than that, the cops can take this vigilante justice bullshit and shove it.

The players could not possibly set a strike date on the eve of the All-Star Game because they know the public-relations war is close to being lost already. There is little sympathy for players averaging $2.38 million annually, and they are exacerbating matters by appearing embittered and entrenched.

"Poor kid"? Cops don't just slam or punch people for the fun of it, especially when doing so means the end of your career. I'm thinking that (just like Rodney King) this kid was probably doing some shit before the camera turned on, and all the video shows is the aftermath.

i was just joshin about Emilio, Tejano, and the word thump (i was just trying to sound hip and cool, dawg). i'm not a big fan of the stuff...hell, i can't even speak spanish. but like every sunday afternoon, the park is consumed by latino/spanish/tejano music. kinda weird how it's just sundays, and how there's so many people playing the stuff out there. i'll just stick with the punk that no one's heard of.
