Please stop saying that A&M isn't good at any sports, it's annoying me. You're like a gnat buzzing in my ear.
If you do your research and look at Big XII Championships and season records you will find these facts:
Sports that Texas A&M is better than LCC at:
Football, men's golf, women's golf, cross country, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, men's swimming, women's swimming, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's track and field, women's track and field, and volleyball.
Sports that LCC is better than Texas A&M at:
Baseball and basketball
So if we suck, y'all must be really worthless.
Of course, it's all a moot point because Texas is better than both of us at damn near every sport.

Fat Tire--
I know a lot about the innerworkings of the admissions system from that year because it's also the year I applied (graduated in 2000). Pro-V went away after the people who graduated from HS in 2000 completed the summer. After 2000, it switched to a year-long provisional program at another UT campus (UTA, UTSA, UTEP, etc.). Basically, you were guaranteed admission at any other UT campus w/ the fee waivered. If you completed 30 hours in the fall and spring with a cumulative GPA above a 3.0, you were automatically accepted to either Liberal Arts or Natural Sciences at UT-Austin. That's the system they're holding onto now because it seems to be working--their hope is that by the time the year of studies at the satellite campus is up, the student will decide to just stay there--more money for the UT system, and one less person enrolling at UT.
I wasn't top 10%, and so I got a general Liberal Arts admission (since transferred colleges, Liberal Arts is not my future). The admissions counselor explained the acceptance rate... and then they started axing the top 10% quota because it pissed so many professors, deans, and students off. "Gee, here's a kid who has made ten short films, but wasn't in the top 10%, and here's a kid who was. Both want to major in RTF, but we have to give Joe with no film background preference because of his class ranking..." That would get old.
And the Webmaster is right. SAT scores should not be brought up unless you are directly asked for some reason. The same goes for ACT, PSAT, and any other test you might have taken prior to college.

Man, y'all really let it bother you when Tech people talk smack. That is great. Curious, but great. If Tech is so inferior, why are you concerning yourself about it? Oh, to whomever posted about beating Nebraska and Kansas State, congrats. Now, who in Texas have you beat in any sports? Baylor does not count. Oh, wait, you barely got by McNeese State this year. I forgot about that powerhouse. Wasn't it played at College Station? No, it couldn't have been for it to be that close of a ball game. Especially with that stellar Aggot offense.
Like I said, I am glad you have fun with this, I enjoy exchanging barbs with people as long as it is done for fun and in good taste. Don't think it bothers me for real though. I graduated from Tech a little over a year ago and now have a great job in Austin. I actually had a guy deliver me a pizza the other day with an A&M Association of Former Students sticker on his car. True Story. But I don't regret a thing. Wait, I do regret those Tech morons taking down the goal post this year. I was not there for that, but that was stupid. Especially when Tech was picked to win the game.
