slocum may have made a few bad calls. but his worst was last year naming farris the starting qb. colby freeman was head and shoulders above farris and smith (awesome thrower, and even better runner), but slocum decided to go with age. unfortunately for the ags, freeman packed up and left. (the only reason he went to atm in the first place was, as he said "texas boys should stay in texas." of course ut had applewhite (the best qb in the big XII, sims cant even compare). both coaches deserve an 'F' on evaluating personnel.

Thank you Matt, that is exactly what I am saying. He plays conservative when we should play liberal and he plays liberal when we should play conservative. He calls the most outrageous plays considering the circumstances. Slocum get your head out of your ass. This is not just this past game. If its not the coach why haven't we won a bowl game in a really long time? I have been watching Slocum's coaching techniques since '94. It doesn't take take a genious to figure out that he isn't that great. Don't think just b/c I am a chick I don't know shit about ball. My cousin played for UF. Weekends at my house started friday with HS football, Saturday watch College ball, Sunday we had the big screen, picture in a picture, a tv from another room, and the satelite going for NFL, and Monday night football baby. My dad was big into Fantasy Football which is why Sunday was sooo big. I know a little bit about football and coaching styles and Slocum doesn't have it.

I disagree about our coach not playing a large role in us losing. If we could go into the half with a touchdown lead at the half, thats a big boost. After the bad call to play conservative, the block punt, and the touchdown, the game was over. There was no way we were going to be able to recover from that. And did we throw more than 2 passes over 20 yards? Slocum said before the game we had to have the "big plays", was he expecting them to come on 2 yard screen passes against the best in the nation OU defense?

Wow. 10-10 at halftime in the A&M-OU game...would have been 10-3 Ags if not for a damn blocked punt at the Aggie 14. Now the big question: Can Farris go the rest of the game without fucking up?
