I just read the message that Blue guy sent (oh--and Brian, I was totally confused when you started talking about the blue guy while showing me pictures of the Canadian guys dressed as smurfs--but I'm totally not confused now--just a little irony)--um....anyhow, fatique is my excuse if this message makes no sense...the guy says that there is nothing at A&M but business majors and the Corps...does he not realize that we have like the largest engineering college in the country? I don't know if we still do, but I know we did at some point. Seriously, there are like 10,000 people in the college of engineering and I promise you can't confuse these ppl for business majors. Even so, what's wrong with business majors? I mean, I know most engineering majors make fun of them and vice versa, but I'm sure majoring in business at A&M is way more challenging than majoring in even biomedical engineering at LCC.....
Anyhoo--about to hit the sack, but first--if any of you find a decent size file of "The Practice Ring" by Michael Parkes, can you please send it to me? I would like to set it as my wallpaper, but I can only find a tiny picture. Thanks bunches!

Just the fact that *LAUGHS* is judging attractiveness based on what sorority you are in shows just how superficial most of the Greek system is.
As for the scenario if "my Dad's friend offered me a job"...well sure it helps to have friends in high places. I was merely saying that I have never consciously joined an organization just because I thought it would help me get a job. If a job comes my way because of a "connection" (i.e. an Aggie ring, a friend, etc.) then so be it. But I'm not counting on it. Unlike a lot of people (including Greeks) who hope that their affiliation will get them a job.
If you have good grades, good experience, good skills, and oh yeah, happen to be in the same fraternity as the boss, then it sure doesn't hurt. But if you walk up with a 1.8 and no skills, but you think having the right Greek letters will land you the job, then you're just stupid.
We can go 'round and 'round on this topic, so I'll just end by saying that if you go Greek, then that's your perogative. If you decide to not go Greek, again, it's your perogative. But don't act like your Greek letters are going to land you the better job or the hotter girl.
