Hey now--all the ADPi's I've met--not that I've met many--have been pretty. One is my roommate, another is my former roommate, another is my roommate's little sis(who is dating a guy in David and Bobby's frat), plus my roommate's old roommates.
I don't really think you can stereotype a group of people's looks on what organization they're in, plus I think it varies from campus to campus. I mean, I have lots of friends who are in Sigma Chi at other universities and they're cute, but I lived next to a bunch of Sigma Chis here for a long time and they were pretty icky.
Besides, saying that all the members of one organization are hot or not is just like saying all frat guys are hot or all sorority girls are skanks--it's just not true.

AD Pi, are you kidding me. You are talking about the ones from A&M, being that you did say you go to A&M. The Aggie Dog Pound as they are known in the Greek world. KD, no. The most respectable names on campus when it comes to hot chicks is Kappa, Tri-Delt, Zeta, and Pi Phi. Not saying that I like these girls or dislike these girls, but you must have abnormal taste in women. I mean for a girl to disagree that Phi Delts are the Hottest guys on campus is very odd. then you go to the next group of guys being Sigma Chi, Sig Ep, Beta... A few more in the top list. Note that none of these are in any order besides Phi Delt. I mean there are exceptions in every chapter to their "norm" Tri Delt does have some fat chicks; AD Pi has some pretty girls. But all and all reputation is everything

I will count on my engineering degree and the Aggie ring to get me a job. Judging by the amount of greek letters I see in my engineering classes, I think there a lot of other people going my route.

Shit, I don't count on my letters to get me a job. Never even crossed my mind. I count on my Industrial Distribution degree and maybe the Aggie network.

Actually you have Bluto. You came out to one with Bobby and I and never realized it. Granted it wasn't an official Date party, crush, or whatever, but you were there.

On a side note, Matt must be an SAE. If I'm wrong, oh well. And second of all, you mean AD Pi, not Kappa Delta. AD Pi has some cute girls and all that, but not near the amount of Kappa Delta. KD has not only an awesome amount of badass chicks, but an assload of hot ones too. Of course, there are a lot of other sororities that are much hotter than KD.

Yeah but you shouldn't have to RELY on greek letters to get you a job. I know I wouldn't want to be hired just because I was in the "correct" organization; I'd like to think I was hired based on my skills and education.

Still doesn't offset the # of connections you make and people you WILL get job offers for though because of it.

Seeing as how (among some people) there is a negative stereotype of "frat daddies" nowadays, I could see where being in a frat might actually diminish your chances of being hired by a non-Greek boss.

Being that I informally pledged my freshman to SAE and was offered a bid, I didn't take it. I enjoyed the first couple of parties, noticed that most of the guys in the house must have a self esteem problem if all they do is drink and hang out in thier little clique. I know everyone has thier clique (Tech being a "Hey I wanna stay in High School" clique) but still I would rather have friends and parties without the added tax of frat dues. Seems sort of ridiculous to me to pay to have a couple greek letters next to my name. Just not for me is all. So whether the frats suck at A&M or Tech is doesn't matter once you get in the real world. Sorry if I'd rather work to make something of myself then to get hired where a pledge brother or legacy member of your house is the boss. Oh well just my 2 cents for today.

yes they do...they just get ranked with all the other schools that don't have a phd program in that discipline.

Ranking systems are so flawed. If your school doesn't have any doctorate programs you don't get ranked, and I know there are schools like that that would be ranked higher than any Texas school. Plus, a degree is just the most expensive piece of paper you'll ever own. Experience has taught me that only about 5% of school learning is used in the real world.

Hello, I am all about the Greek System. Duh I used to only date frat guys. I mean after going to every fraternity party for a year. You have seen it all. I have been to atleast 4 fraternity formals, 2 of them in New Orleans, atleast 3 disco, 5 Hawaiian themed, I mean they are all the same. After basically living in a fraternity house for a year it gets old. Not too much impresses me. I hear Tech's fraterinty parties aren't that great compared to here, and I have been to too many here to think that they are great. The point is after doing one thing over and over again it gets old. Thats how I feel about frat parties. I have grown up and too os for them now. I am allowed to have my oppinions and state them. You can't tell me that I feel that frat parties are fun. Yes I have been to several that have been fun, but nothing can really top the 1st real fun fraternity party.

As shitty as the greek system here at A&M is, don't pile all fraternities and sororities together. I'm sure if I went to a PIKE or TKE frat party or a Kappa Delta or Delta Gamma sorority party my freshman year, I'd have a bad opinion on them too. Try going to one of the better parties though, you'll have a blast.

But on that note, would all the people from A&M who whine about how much fraternities suck please consider themselves unwelcome at Chilifest this year... After all, wouldn't want you guys having to come to a "sucky frat party".

trust me I hear those frat parties are lame. Not saying that ours are much better. They are same ol same ol lame parties after you have gone through a year frat, I mean fraternity "You don't call your Country Cunt" Parties you have gone through them all. Being a Junior yeah I have seen it and done it all when it comes to fraternity parties. Not only that I went to my 1st Fraternity Party "PIKE SWAMP" when I was 14 or 15. I had an older sister who was in a sorority at the time. Its not like some college guy trying to take advantage of a little kid (the little kid being me). Don't get your hopes too high to have fun at a fraternity party.
