Hello, Jingoism
Sunday Mar 30th 12:44am by Brian - E-mail Brian IM Brian

With all the war and such, it is time to increase your patriotism level from normal to excessive and start wearing shirts like the one above. Why just support your country when you can support your country AND display an ominous sign for those around you to see? If you don't recognize this shirt, then you just don't watch enough Simpsons. It was the shirt Homer wore on one of the Brazilian beaches. It comes from 1315 - DABF10 - Blame it on Lisa for all of you people who have taken the time to download every single episode of The Simpsons...not that I have or ever would.

There is nothing like a clever flash animation to turn normal people into complete fools. I am sure all of you have seen this, and I hope all of you see how this works. For those who didn't, I made a little Excel sheet to explain how it works. I made it a few days ago, but I just forgot to post it. You can see that sheet here.

For those of you guys who made the journey to Ancuna, Mexico for the REK concert, I have a question. Did any of you happen to run into the Mexican Blackbird? She's hot as a pepper but smooth as a Mexican brew.

FYI: Jesus.com is now DateJesus.com.

Fire!

I don't know why I love pictures like this, but I just think they are the shit. I put up some pictures from last week's partying. here and here. Go check 'em out to see some good times from Austin.

So Texas is the only number 1 seed to make it to the final four. So to all the people saying that Texas is ALWAYS overrated, fuck off. I've put up the obviously required new poll.

Mardi Gras, belated

The place to be

So we're moving backwards in time here and posting the pictures from New Orleans at the end of February. Why did it take so damn long to get the pictures up? Well, half of the pictures were on my friend's laptop which broke and we had to wait for the part to get in before we could get the pictures off it.

Anyways . . . let me see if I can remember some of the story from so long ago. Started off that we had to drive for 8 hours in pouring ass rain. Well we made it through that and before we knew it we were having a toast on a balcony with a great view of Bourbon St. After that I think I got too drunk to remember to take pictures b/c I didn't have many except this cool on of the fire fountain. (I don't know why I think that's so cool).

The next day we did some sight seeing, yada yada. But that night we were ready to piss in the street and start some drinkin'. First we headed out to Pat O's for some diner, where we all made some friends and had some more drinks. It gets a little fuzzy on exactly what happened after that, but I know I got split up from the group and ended up partying until about 5:30. From what I remember, it was damn good times.

The next day we say some parades, cigar shops, break dancers, the French Market and a cool old record shop. That night was just another crazy, fuzzy night of partying with cool girls from Australia and met an awesome group of girls from South Africa. What happened to the rest of the group? Hell if I know. I lost them by 9 o'clock. But from the pictures it looks like I had fun!

Some random thoughts . . . I like how they mark potholes. Why would you bring your kid to Mardi Gras? Here's a t-shirt almost all girls need to wear. Porn for an alcoholic.

Spring Break!

Cancun 2003!

Spring Break 2003 in Cancun

If don't want to read all this rambling, just CLICK HERE to see all the pictures.

Where should I start? I think right place to start this story is by saying that for the past 9 days I have been in Cancun, by myself. Yes, by myself. How this all happened is that Marc (who runs WhatisPlanB.com) lost his wallet the day that we were supposed to leave. Apparently U.S. Homeland Security doesn't take kindly to no I.D. So he can't go and the hell that I am going to miss my trip for anything, so it's on the plane solo.

But let me tell you that it was the best that could have happened to me. I'm not trying to say I didn't want to go with Marc on the trip. But as fate would have it, being on vacation by yourself fucking rocks. First of all, since you are alone you are basically forced to go meet people. On top of that, being by yourself means you never have to wait for anyone and can do do anything you want, whenever you want. It was just awesome!

Well I don't have much time to write since I've just spent the past 3 hours making those pages of pictures and I have to go out for my friend Krystal's 21st birthday tonight (yea, I can't believe I'm going drinking the day I got back from 9 days in Cancun either). But I do want to give a few quick shout outs to a few of the people I met (this is just a quick list, so don't be mad if you I don't call you out ;)))). What's up Courtney, Melissa, and Amanda; Angela, Erin, and Kelly; Katie and Emily; Teresa (mom), Sarah and Summer; the Boston girls (Kat, Danielle, Katie, Gail, Bonnie, and Colleen); Peaches, Amanda Angela, Nicole, Sarah, Teresa, Christina(I remembered!), and the rest of the group; Michelle, Amy from Austin (sorry, I forgot your other two names, but we have to party here in austin together!); And a really big shout out to my 4 Pittsburgh girls Danielle, Lauren, Amanda and Lauren #2!!!

Remember that you all have to either IM me or email me to say what's up or tell me what pictures you want me to e-mail you!!!

Once again, you can CLICK HERE to see the Spring Break '03 Cancun pictures. I've got literally one peso to my name and I'm going to see if I can use it to get a beer, peace!

Oops, Forgot To Post That

Ok, so it took me a while to get up some pics from Damon's 21st. I got a good number of pics, but not all of them could be placed on the internet for either personal objections or legal reasons. Oh well, here are the pics from his 21st. You may be wondering what the pictures above is from. Well, Sarah decided to do a kegstand, and I volunteered to do some leg holding. Unfortunately, the guy that was holding her other leg wasn't on the same page as I. Although a kegstand is most properly done while completely vertical, a smaller angle is usually chosen when the person doing the 'stand is a female and indoors. The guy holding her other leg chose completely vertical, and I chose to go with a smaller angle. Sarah ended up getting rotated and flipped a bit. The mark above is where her head hit on the wall during her flip. That resulted in a pretty large bump on her head, but I guess it made for a good story.

SPRING BREAK!!!

Later ya'll. I'm out to cancun for 9 days. If I live through that I'll be heading to South Padre 3 days after I get back for another 4 day excursion. If you're in Cancun, look me up in Dos Playas hotel. Peace!

On another note, I love how when you search google for "Lubbock Community College" we're the first site to pull up.

And I put up a new poll to replace the old one. Seems both groups are pretty much equally hated. If you are a member of one of the aforementioned groups do us all a favor and kill yourself. Or just change to some other form of protesting that we don't have to see or hear.

Mardi Gras in Austin?
Sunday Mar 2nd 1:31pm by Matt - E-mail Matt IM Matt

No thanks, I say. After having the wildest 3 nights of my life in New Orleans last weekend (which I'll get pictures up as soon as I get them from my friend), Mardi Gras in Austin just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I could describe it as taking all the best parts about Mardi Gras and leaving those out completely; then you will have what they call Mardi Gras in Austin. Or I could just use the description from this Austin-American article. I'll just pull my favorite lines:

"In addition to 300 uniformed officers, 50 undercover police were mingling with the mostly male crowd"

"Police in riot gear were stationed on every block, clustered in groups of eight to 10. In addition to protective vests, the crowd management team wore tall boots with knee guards and riot helmets. Also standard issue were gas masks, pepper spray, shotguns loaded with rubber pellets, riot batons and plastic wrist restraints"

Weeeeeeee. If those are recipes for a good time, I don't know what is. My favorite are the shotguns. What’s yours? And you all wonder why I went home to Dallas for the night instead?

FYI, this is the perfect article describing what Carnival and Mardi Gras is and how they work. Read it. And become more learned.
