Are you kidding about Fran? Look what he's done at the past two programs he was on. He took TCU from 1-11 one year and the next three years took them to bowls. He single handedly turned that whole program around. And Bama was 3-10 when he came to town, and with violations and all, he turned it, two years later, into a 10-3 team. Think what he will do with a strong program like A&M. I'm expecting great things, starting year after next.
And, Fran has moved quite a bit, but at the same time, would you want to finish your career at any of the school's he's HCed for? And the rumor has it that Fran is pissed at Bama cause they led him to believe that the violations weren't as severe as they were.
And seriously, what the fuck kind of dumbass statement is "left the tradition rich school of Bama for A&M." Yeah, cause we dont' know shit about tradition at A&M. Moron.

Okay, I think Franchione is a good coach and will do a good job at A&M. But he has a lot of work to do. It's a bit unrealistic to be expecting the man to turn a 6-6 team into a success story overnight. This is eerily reminding me of when Mack Brown came to Texas. The coaching was there, the recruiting was there, the talent was there, the "soon-to-be star QB" was there (well, soon thereafter) and most certainly, the hype was there. Brown has done pretty damn well too. He took us from being a 4-7 program one year to being 9-3 the next, which was his first season with the team, he has strung together 5 consecutive seasons of at least 9 wins, and he is the only coach to win at Nebraska in over a decade. Still, we haven't even won a conference title under Brown, though I think it's fair to say that we gave it away last year. His numbers are a testament to the fact that he's a good coach and has been great for our program. But in 5 years, he hasn't done what he was brought here to do. The Big 12 is a tough conference, and the Big 12 South is the toughest division in college football. Franchione will have to step up his game considerably if he is to achieve the kind of success that Aggies are already expecting.
