This will always be the guy who took the Aggies to more wins in the 90's than any other Texas team in any other decade. The guy who won us our first Big XII Championship against #2 in the nation K State. The guy who was there when Bonfire fell and beat a highly favored Texas team. The guy who landed Reggie and one of the best recruiting classes the school has ever seen.

We'll start to dominate the year after next in no small part because of his contributions.

It's official. R.C. Slocum is no longer the coach at Texas A&M. He was fired by school officials today, according to the Dallas Morning News.

While sad to see the end of an era, I think it was time for him to go. It should be interesting to see what happens between now and February.
