Ag: No, not *anyone* can throw screen passes all day and rack up those numbers, or else everyone would. You've got to be a smart player to be able to find open receivers. What makes the offense great is that yes, there are multiple great receivers, but also that Kliff can change the patern and throw to any one of those in a single play, depending on the defensive situation. He adjusts quickly and can make the play happen. Just watch the offense run, and you'll see.

With Reggie out, our quarterback is one dimensional. Therefore, they don't have to guard against the run and the pass. They get to choose. I believe the injury changed a small bit of the outcome.

Kliff Kingsbury has great numbers because he has great receivers. Anyone can throw fucking screen passes all day and then reap the statistics when your receivers run for 10 yards after the catch.

I think a lot of Kingsbury's lack of Heisman hype comes not from his numbers--those are great. It's what those numbers result from. Tech passes and passes and passes some more--of course his numbers are going to be astounding compared to teams who rely on passing and running... Plus, Tech kinda sucks. It was a good game today. Had we had a healthy defense, and had the offense not scored so freakin' quickly each time, prolonging the defense's time on the field, I think it could have gone in a very different direction. But Tech played well, and I don't think anyone from UT will try to deny that.

You probably haven't seen many Longhorn posts because most UT students that read/post here dont' want to deal with the shit that they expected LCC students would pull out of their asses... there's a thing called winning or losing with class, and a lot of LCC students seem to be unable to do either. Everyone underestimates Missouri...they have a great QB, and all their losses have been close...hell they played OU within 7 most of the game...and only our offense showed up...its been the story all year, when both sides of football show up, we win, otherwise, we lose.

hmm, let me see if i can get this straight...so we beat a&m...we beat ut...but we're still not competition? okay, if that's what y'all want to believe...

What happened? First A&M beats OU at home. Then the following weekend, A&M falls to a team almost everyone can get past. Texas allows LCC to finish them in the South. And OU beats Baylor. Yes they scored 9 points, but 6 of that was late in the 4th with the ENTIRE defensive line using second stringers. OU still beat Baylor by 2 more points than Texas did. Guess it will take some Sooner Magic next weekend to show who's boss in the south and put an end to the Lubbock folk talking big bowl from Big 12 Champs game. *sigh* Just when you thought it was safe to watch football.
