So much drama in the world today

This sounds like something you should both work out somewhere besides a public message board.

when you resolve an issue and put closure on it, you shouldn't continue to fight your side. it's one thing to start conversation on this board, and another to continuing to bitch.
i was over it, but you have to keep bringing it up, get over it and put it behind you.

Ashley, I do understand your side of it. Your right, if I was gonna be super late I should have called and I didn't. For that I apologized for. And I think the issue with her is closed on this.

Good point. I mean I never gave her a time range. I said "when I get to the office" I'll call you. And I didn't say when. I was an extra 30 minutes at my dad's eating dinner so it's not like I waited til the following day to call.

Yep, I see. A girl gets pissed when a guy doesn't call within the 10-minute range he specified...ok...but then it's ok for girls to give out fake phone numbers, wait a week before returning a phone call, or ignore messages entirely...and if the GUY gets upset, he's "insensitive".

Wow, you left out some pertinent details, dude. This is totally none of my business, but I definitely see where she's coming from now. I mean, it's still not a huge deal, but girls get kinda funny when they expect you to call at a certain time and then you don't. Most of the time, it's a matter of worry, not trust or insecurity.

By the way, I don't want my original post on my girlfriend to make her sound like a total bitch. She's not. I just don't understand her reasoning some of the time.

okay the bitch girlfriend's side:
he said he had gotten to his sister's to drop something off and say hi to his niece and so he had to get off the phone. he told me after that he was going to the office to work on school crap and that he'd call me when he got there, leading me to believe it wouldn't be that long till he called. then when it seems strange that he hadn't called yet, i call him to find out he was also stopping at his dad's not just breifly but for dinner. i didn't think he was a horrible boyfriend for this, it just frustrated me for him to not tell me that it would be much longer till i should expect a call.
i got upset, it happens, not a big deal, get over it, i did.

Just because you don't tell someone something doesn't mean you're intentionally hiding it from them. Personally, I would be bored out of my mind if my (non-existent) girlfriend told me about every little event and stop she impulsively made each day. If she gets all bent out of shape because you don't include her in every decision, no matter how insignificant, then it sounds like she has a trust or insecurity problem.

It sounds bitchy from an unattached perspective, but I'm sure that I've done things equally bitchy to exes in the past, and I'm just too tired to think of specifics.

All I know is that attempts for students to get elected to city government positions have been incredibly unsuccessful on acount of awful voter turnout.

I agree that she went a little overboard, but, being a girl, I sorta understand. She figures if you're doing something that harmless, why not say "hey, i'm gonna stop at my dad's first." See, by not telling her, and then her finding out, you kinda gave the impression that you didn't want her to know about it, and that, of course, raises suspicion, even thought it's not really a big deal. My ex did the same to me once and I got pissed about it, but then I realized how bitchy I was being.

If you made an unplanned pit stop in Paraguay, then it would've been an issue. Otherwise, she needs to lay off the crazy sauce.

Good God, you made an unplanned pit-stop and she gets mad? Hey, see that thing hanging from your neck? It's a leash, bro...

I agree. 1 am and still working on a paper. Have to be at work tomorrow morning by 8:30 and to top it off my girlfriend is mad at me.

Why? Well I talked to her in the car after leaving class and had to get off the phone. Well I tell her I'll call her when I start working on my paper. I made a stop before going to work on it. I get a call while I'm at the stop (My Dad's house) and she's pissed cuz I didn't tell her I was stopping there.

I know it's more drama than most of you care to read, but I just don't get it. She said I was inconsiderate for not telling her I was making an extra stop. Am I?

Is anybody else driving to New Orleans next weekend for the Tulane game?

Tuesday Sep 17th 6:59pm
Ashley ®  - UT Austin

Basically, it's because our AD tried to arrange a deal with your AD that would give A&M 10,000 tickets when the game is in Austin and give UT 10,000 tickets when the game is in CS. And your AD said no dice, so our AD said screw it.

Houston didn't get any tickets for this weekend either, after Bleachergate last year.

D. Dodds doesn't mess around.

OU,
You must have forgotten that the Virginia Tech, OU, and Nebraska games are all in really high demand. Well Nebraska was. Anyway, on a different note everyone....why is it that we give UT at least 5000 tickets to the game every year at Kyle Field when they only give us 2000. Dammit.
