This year I went on reccomendations of friends that they'd be OK. It's not that I'm the type to be drunk five nights out of the week, but there are certainly nights that I go out until 4 or 5 a.m., and nights that I've just had to crash wherever the party is--and I'd like to be able to get into my front door when I get home afterwards. My parents gave me the go-ahead to break my lease or sublease it at semester if I want to, which is nice. On that note, anyone know of anything going on tonight?

Why is it that I always end up with the dumbasses for roommates? You'd think I'd have learned to pick up on this trait by now. Upshot is that my dad called today to say he's planning to buy a condo in West Campus, and is going to start looking in Feb. or so... no idea where that money came from, but I'm all for it.

my roommate and our friend left for like an hour last night...they came back with a damn stock pile of beer. Rolling Rock, Dos Equis, Red Stripe, some Corona, and a bottle of tequila. combine that with the left over Coors Light (eh...don't ask), our fridge is like 80% beer. now, that might be a typical week's supply for some of y'all, but for moi that's a shit load of alcohol.

It's so fucking hot and humid that even the hallways in the CBA reek of sweat. And whoever mandated that there should be keyless deadbolts on doors obviously never had to contend with my idiot roommates who have a habit of locking that before I get home. Pounding on the front door at 2 a.m. is not my idea of fun.

Spiral on top because even though I'm right-handed, I hold my pens/pencils strangely, and the spiral ends up getting in my way no matter which side it's on... if it's on the top, it never gets in the way. My ADV book was $125 or so... my (used) Italian book was $68, and the thing looks like it could spontaneously combust at any moment. But it was definitely the 99 cent M&M's that were the kicker...

I just saw a commercial for the Anna Nicole "reality" show. Holy shit. I thought the camera adds 10 pounds, not 100 pounds. Either she has been on a steady diet of chocolate and butter, or she has always been that fat and disgusting and Playboy simply did a hell of an airbrushing job. Excuse me while I vomit.

so....why the spiral on the top? i picked one up, too, for the hell of it and i've yet to figure out why they're on the top. you know what they need? spirals on the right. it's fucking annoying having to deal with that damn thing when i go to a new line. oh.....hey...think i just answered my own question. my new BIO 406D books were like 30$ combined. my used MUS 313M books were over 150$. that's annoying.

P.S. Only do that if your paying for everything (books, tuition, fees, supplies, etc.) yourself and are on a budget. If it's not your money or someone else is paying for it, forget about it and just pay full price.

Just gotta do some homework ahead of time,
1. goto the bookstore & write down all necessary ISBN numbers.
2. Look them up online. Some "New Editions" for your school might be last semester books somewhere else and some poor shmuck who forgot to sell them back offers it up on ebay for peanuts.
3. End of the semester take them to the campus bookstore, sell them back for half the shelf price and more than likely turn a profit.

I've done that process for the last 3 semesters. Average profit $65 (Well earned end of semester alcohol money)

Those damn M&Ms are really going up in price.
