There's a difference between field position given by turnovers and lack of offense and field position given by just a plain stupid call. One shows a total lack of offensive power, the other shows the coach lacking the smarts to punt it away at a certain time. (I think most experts will agree, even if they make that fake punt, it was a terribly bad call to make in that situation) If it were say a blocked punt, or a fumbled snap, you might have a case that it was a display of Colorado's lacking offense or Texas great defense, but it was just a plain bad call by a coach.

Don't even try to say "That wasn't Texas making it close, that was Colorado giving them points." Don't even talk about "giving points." When you got field position like CU did, you don't have to really dominate to score.

My money is still on voting for a playoff system. Shit if Div. II and III can do it, why can't Div. I?? Just look at the polling, I still don't understand how UT is ranked higher than OU in the polls. They both have the same number of losses, and OU is one of UT's losses. Yes they have one more game on thier schedule, but with other teams in the polls it's the number of losses, not the number of wins that puts them in place....well that and some whacked out sports writers.

And on a lighter note -- Did anyone else see the news that BYU is considering legal action against the BCS for "antitrust violations" ? Now THAT is funny.

No need to get pissed off about the spelling issue. I'm definately not one to point out others typos, but when you say you are "spelling it out for me", it was just too hard to resist.

If you want to consider the second half "trouncing", then feel free. In reality, the Colorado defense sat back on their lead. Notice the defensive formations in the second half? It was 36-17, and Colorado went into a large buffer prevent defense -- that is the only reason Texas scored their points. The touchdown that made it 36-30 was quite possibly the stupidest coaching move in the history of college football. That wasn't Texas making it close, that was Colorado giving them points. Barnett even admitted to it afterwards. With Colorado up more than a touchdown with less than 2 minutes left, they again smartly went into a prevent defense. I'll explain this to you a little further -- when you are up more than a touchdown with little time left in the game, you can live with giving up a score, you just don't want to give it up too quickly. They prevented just that.

I never claimed a comeback cannot happen in a game. A team can fold, and the other team can catch all the breaks. This didn't happen here. Colorado played just the game they wanted to in the second half. They could live with scores, just not quick ones. The fake punt call is the only reason Texas made the score look close.

Again, I can cite a million examples of games that go just the same way. But the two most recent are of course the Bills/49ers and the A&M/UT game... I mean, you're a UT fan, can you honestly say that UT didn't have that game in total control? Yet we still had a chance on a last drive of the game, but c'mon, everyone that knows anything about football knew that game was over in the first half.

I want to know who the people voting that they have 0-1 finals are so that I may go rip their limbs off. Never, ever take six classes. You will end up with six cumulative finals.

As for the ticket issue, Ebay is great if you get on early in the morning and make a bid on tickets that will be sold within the hour. That's how I got my tickets to the Big 12 title game. $100 for a ticket on the 30 yd line, field level. There were students all over campus selling worse tickets for $200 a piece. Believe me, these tickets are all over the web for a lot cheaper than you'll get them anywhere else.

Somewhere back in time, a person thought to themselves, "You know, it would be a good idea to give students a comprehensive exam at the end of each term, so as to test their knowledge of all the material covered."

We trounced them the second half. So you're saying there's absolutely no way for a come back to ever happen in a game. That's just retarded. I mean a line of things when wrong for us down the line AFTER the first quarter that if any ONE of the went right we would have won. Made our missed feild goal, didn't fall into the punter, etc. Sure there was the same type of line of things for CU as well that went wrong.

But what the fuck do I know, I mean it was deemed from the 1st quarter that we were going to loose so those few things had to go wrong just because of that fact.
