what an eventful weekend. there could have been one more upset, i am talking about the oregon game...harrington got a BIG play from his d when he needed it. nu/miami would be fun, but oregon/miami would also be a good show of qbs. i say let the buffs play for it though, i mean, they are HOT! the o-line was opening holes that i could have run through...if you know me, you know me those are HUGE holes! i say we set up a bracket and let them play 'til march!

i agree that tennessee is a team to be reckoned with, but i see(ok, i would LIKE to see) a miami/nebraska rose bowl. sure, ut's only loss is to georgia, who is NOW 15 in the bcs, but i don't believe that's what they were ranked when they beat ut(correct me if i'm wrong). nebraska's only loss was to colorado, who we can all agree is much tougher than georgia. sure, cu hung 60+ on them, but a crucial fumble on the 1 stopped a nu comeback that had them within two touchdowns with all the momentum. my point; i don't think cu beating nu was a fluke, but i think the score was. furthermore, yes, tu beat florida in the swamp. however, nu beat oklahoma(and that was when they were already penciled in for #2, ahem, before their sideswipe by lowly osu). however, this all becomes moot when lsu takes out ut in the sec cg. unlikely, yes; impossible, no. so i say let the deluded voters vote, and let the computers compute, and we'll see what happens. by the way, good game tu. seriously. colorado was bad ass two weeks in a row. and don't just blame it on christopher. don't even just blame it on mack. blame it on BOTH of them. glad colorado won, and just as glad that it was major that busted his ass to make it a close one.

Sure, you can say that Simms lost the game for Texas, but you should at least give credit to Colorado for winning the game. Their o-line allowed them to rush for 223 yards and control the time of possession. Also, Colorado did take advantage of all the Texas turnovers and turn them into points. Turnovers don't mean shit if the other team doesn't convert on them.

Gary Barnett deserves Big XII Coach of the Year for turning the 3-8 Buffaloes into Big XII champions, and Mack Brown deserves the Big XII Dumbass Call of the Year Award for starting Simms over Applewhite. Now I'm sure everyone will agree with the fact that Simms is, at best, the fourth best QB in Texas, behind Applewhite (obviously #1), Farris and Kingsbury (tossup for whos #2). Kingsbury's stats are better, but Farris had very little to work with. Regardless, both are head and shoulders above ut's "golden boy."

Texas does not suck. They sure as hell had a better team than we did this year. However, Texas has been labeled as a team that can't win big games, and this certainly doesn't help that. It was still a great weekend of football though.
