I am sorry if any of you have been having problems connecting to TamUt. Fucking Code Red is slowing the internet down just a bit. Although we at TamUt are smart enough to keep our shit off of a Windows server, we will have to pay the price.

I didn't swim in high school, but I've taught swimming lessons for the past 7 years every summer. This summer I've gotten into better shape b/c I swim in addition to the lessons. I guess I will start to make daily my trip to the pool to swim laps.

Chica, there are much easier KINE 199 classes to take then Conditioning Swimming. I swam in high school and took Conditioning Swimming my freshman year when I was still relatively fit, and it was still pretty tough. Plus, who wants to get into a swimsuit, jump into cold water, and swim laps for 75 minutes when you can get the same 1 credit hour for hitting golf balls at the driving range? I say...take golf!

P.S. For anyone in CS this weekend, I will be at Wheatables party on Saturday so call my cell or IM him for directions.

I did forget about Statute of Limitations though. I have no idea what it is for an MIP so the police very well may have to witness it to write a ticket. Of course, all this pertains to the actual law and not the Dept. of Student Affairs. Even if she is reported, they won't do anything. You get a free fuck up in the dorms, no questions asked. I used mine during Freshman Oreintation. I was staying in the dorms and there were only like, 6 other guys who did come with their parents. Long story short, we got a LOT of beer and were pretty loud, or course we got busted. They take your name and SID and record it. That's it. Now, if you get caught for alcohol violations in the dorms a second time as my roommate did, then you have to go to some class. No big deal. As long as she has cool RAs for the rest of her on campus life she'll never have to worry about a thing.

I took conditioning swimming last year. The prof you most likely have is cool, but I wouldn't recommend this class if you didn't swim in high school. There are much easier Kine 199s. The first or second day, you have to swim 500 yards in 10 minutes just to stay in the class and it just gets more difficult from there. If you swam in HS and are still in relatively good shape, this shouldn't be a problem. If you are looking for an actual workout in your Kines, this is a good choice.

And as for the whole video thing: Of course she can be charged with doing something if there is evidence she did it. Not to say they will, but it is legal. If she is shown on the tape drinking or someone testsifies to that effect, she can be charged. An MIP is a crime, just like murder. However, it's a stupid crime and only a misdomenor to boot so no one really gives a shit.

OK-I just registered for a kine199 today...anyone ever taken "conditioning swim"? It's 2 days a week for an hour and 15 each day...
Also, not that I've been posting regularly lately, but I'll be gone from the state from August 9-15 and then at a camp thing the 16-19 of August. So don't ask me anything then or think that I am mad at you for anything. I'm a kind hearted person :) haha Anywho...catch you peeps later...

Marc - regarding that situation, I would leave a flaming bag of dog poop on the administration's doorstep. Some people are really pathetic and have such empty and meaningless lives that they feel the need to spoil everyone else's fun and tattle on people who actually have a life. Pay no mind, my friend. Administration won't do shit for something that happened days ago.

And if they do, then I suggest finding a nice mass of dog poop, a grade "A" paper bag, and one Bic lighter.
