hey guys my friends band, bipolar, is playing at big pauleys on northgate on tuesday night...my other 2 friends are "opening up" for them...come check it out if you got the time they are pretty good

maryland is playing well in the ACC this year and UVa and G Tech used to be good in the early-to-mid 90's...dont knock the ACC too much, i'm a east coast boy and a big fan of the ACC (although it is mostly in the basketball area)

Yep...getting wasted, puking, and passing out on a kitchen floor. The mark of a true lightweight.

It was a good win against the ags. And it was a good game. Both teams I think were given some room as far as scoring. The int./fumble by the ags, and the 1yd line td by OU. oh well wierd zebra calling on both sides. Anyways I won dinner from an aggie friend for that win, so I get to enjoy it. This weekend at LCC should prove interesting. Not sure if we lose they would act like Barbarians, or if OU wins, they still would act like barbarians since they lost. Just hope the bottle throwing is held to a minimum. And I'm still pulling for the Ags in 2 weeks since that would secure a trip to the Big XII championship game for OU. And they way it is going in the polls. When OU beats Nebraska in the Big XII game, that should shake things up a little bit.
BOOMER SOONER!!

Damn, Jolie. You obviously need some help with your conferences. Maybe this will help you.

ACC
Big East
SEC

I'd post info for the rest of the conferences, but let's take this learning process slowly. Maybe they can form huge, super conferences just for you. All teams west of the Rockies shall be the West. All teams east of the Mississippi shall be the East. All teams in between shall be the central.

well yarmy beat me to it, but i'm glad someone someone else has their head in the right place. and yes yarmy, i registered online the first day it was offered at 5am(honors registration kicks ass), and i thought it was quite easy. my advice is to go to the "add a course" page and enter your desired courses and sections there; saves you the time of searching for each class individually and will immediately tell you which classes you made it into. as sickening as it is to wholeheartedly agree w/the batt, i love the online registration, and hope it works out in the future.
on another note...damn it feels good to be a gangsta...damn it feels bad to be pulling with a freshman sports pass(i can almost hear the campers depleting the student section of good seats)...but hopefully the 3rd deck will be swaying back and forth with the original verse of the war hymn(twice) and the ags can gut out a win against our more talented foes. hope r.c. relinquishes his grasp on dino's nads and lets him give farris the go ahead to use that "15th pick in the mlb draft" arm to give my boys taylor and jones a shot at some friendly competition with the texas db's...should be a dog fight.

gig 'em ags...beat the HELL outta t.u.!

sorry jolie, got your conferences...errr, divisions mixed up again. fsu is in the acc, along with the powerhouses of wake forest, maryland, duke, and north carolina, among others...a conference better known for its basketball prowess. you'd have to go back a ways to find a national champion other than fsu from that conference...so i've got beef with people giving much props to fsu's sos.

FSU is in the ACC...come on now!!! i am all about a change at head coach. its not only the big games this year, but its bowl games for the past 10 years. look what stoops did at ou, they were just a sleeping giant

has anyone registered online yet? i have to tomorrow at 7:30 and i just wanted to know what to expect.

You know, I'm torn on one subject. On the one hand, it'd be awfully nice if OU lost to LCC this weekend so far as Big XII records go. However, I don't even want to think about what the LCC fans would begin thinking of themselves if such an event happened, as unlikely as it is to occur.

And regarding UT and A&M? Ha--not even going to try to predict that one. It should be a good game, and anyone who tries to use the big TV in my house for anything other than the game will lose a limb.

Ok sorry, got my divisions mixed up. I figured they were in the SEC with UF and FSU. But still a more difficult schedule. That is awesome that Nebraska was #1 in that poll. Well anyways I am shutting up, atleast for the mean time.

I can understand the loss to Oklahoma. We could have beaten CU and LCC though.

Well, we all know that Aggies live and die by the opinions of DrunkStory6. 5 years ago I may have defended R.C. but 5 years later I'm not so quick to his defense when we've seen the same mistakes over and over and over and over.

Sure, the Aggies only have 3 losses this season...but those 3 losses came in our biggest games. Colorado....LCC....and Oklahoma. And the only real definitive win this season was against Notre Dame. Even in Aggieland, change is good sometimes.

Brian -
I don't think it would do any good ... but I would LOVE to hear Madame Jolie's thoughts on the Texas Longhorns, esp in relation to what might happen on T+1.

And while I am at it, maybe I should bring up the fact that Nebraska is #1 in the ESPN/USA Today poll.

On a completely unrelated note, if you want your info on the "Decipher Names" link added or edited, just send an e-mail to TypingMonkey@tamut.com with all appplicable info, and I will add it.

miami is not in the SEC...they are in the big east with va tech and a few other schools who are a few players away from being good or used ot be good.

Oh, your posts make my head hurt. I am so glad that they don't let you vote in either poll. Miami is in the Big East, not the SEC. Please refrain from posting about stuff you know nothing about.

Monday Nov 12th 12:07am
Jolie ®  - Texas A&M

I would love to see BIG XII #1. Even though Nebraska has played 3 more games than Miami, its the reputation that goes along with the SEC being a tougher division than the BIG XII which makes Miami #1 in the polls. Hopefully soon the big shots in the polls will open their eyes and see how kick ass the BIG XII really is.

oh yeah, I want to weigh in on one more thing. I consider myself a conservative, but growing up in austin, one can't help but have a FEW liberal tendencies. But Ann Richards was a conniving bitch who fucked this city, and the SWC/BIG12 about six ways to sunday.

And that's how I really feel.

It is interesting to watch the A&M community's reaction to adversity. There seem to be three distinct camps - 1. The "RedAsses" - if you question the school, the schools activities, the coaches, the traditions, or the players, you suck and should be banished from the campus. We are A&M .... 2. The Normal People - those who realize that the program has its problems, and that it might be time to maybe move on, to make a change, including but not limited to the coaches ... and 3. The Idiots - FIRE RC! Throw 3 million at Jimmy Johnson! 8-3 Sucks! We should be playing for the MNC every year! (or, alternately) We're going to beat UT! By 30! It's Kyle Field!

Strangely enough, if I look back about five years, some of the same things happened at UT. I'll admit, mutiny and shitty football is never pretty, no matter where it happens. But I think it's pretty funny that a goodly number of Aggies said to us all those years ago "what horrible fans you guys have, calling for the coaches head after a number of good seasons ..." That, and I think social unrest is MUCH more noticeable at a place like A&M, where social dissention is so frowned upon.

i dont know how miami can be #1 in the AP! i mean they are 8-0, i give them that, but nebraska is 11-0...thats 3 more games and 3 more chances to lose. shit, if you are 11-0, you are number 1 in my book, plus they play in the big XII, not the big east. i dont know, but honestly, i would take nebraska and 10 points if they played.

i loved that RC/Dino dialoge...funny shit!!!

Hey Matt, you need some cough drops.

A woman *cough* Ann Richards *cough* also flashed a little money and influence to make sure a certain school *cough* Baylor *cough* would be included in the Big 12.

Yeah I think it's a little extreme to threaten to "never intentionally give one cent, directly or indirectly to Texas A&M, if a cheerleading club is endorsed by the administration". Howveer, I agree that a cheerleading club is kind of dumb at a place like A&M.

What pissed me off the most was when the person who started the cheerleader club (the Houston Chronicle made sure to point out the fact that's she's black) said that blacks are excluded from the Aggie clubs and traditions. That is complete horseshit. Blacks actively exclude themselves from Aggie clubs and traditions, and then turn around and complain about being excluded. What wrong with THAT picture?

I met a lot of black students at A&M through the various organizations I was involved with, because instead of sitting back and bitching about being "excluded" they went out and made an effort. If black students at A&M don't feel like a part of the Aggie traditions, it's mostly their own fault because they don't make the effort.

When you flash a little money, you can get stuff done. A while back, a woman flashed a little money so that Baylor would never have sorority or fraternity houses.

"a"...so one would be ridiculous calling k state a better team than a&m, as well, correct? after all...
1)we have both lost to ou[a game i believe could have gone the other way had some things happened differently(i am NOT whining, but the failed fake punt, err...touchdown DID change the momentum of the game)]
2)we haven't experienced a losing "skid"(two games isn't a skid)
3)one would be hard-pressed to find a team with as many or more injuries than a&m(now even our 3rd string freshman are out) and...
4)we beat ksu
...therefore...a&m would have potentially been a top ten team, ahead of ksu and others? i think so(we could have been top 10, not top 5), just making sure you do.

and since all my family blood is husker red, i must say they are my odds-on favorite to win it all. depth, coaching, talent...

my ags? we don't have the first 2 this year, but we've got solid athletic talent, kyle field, and the 12th man...some pretty damn good intangibles if i do say so myself.
that is all.

go big red!
gig 'em ags! beat the HELL outta t.u.!

wow--i haven't read all this stuff in like forever.
what do y'all think about this cheerleading "club" starting at a&m? i heard jon mention something about it a couple weeks ago, but there was an article on the front (i think) of the houston chronicle about this big aggie contributor who said he will no longer give the school money if there is a cheerleading squad here. the article said they aren't going to cheer at athletic events--they're just going to compete in tourneys in stuff. i think the whole idea is kind of funny, but i can't believe that guy will completely stop giving a&m money if someone starts up a cheerleading club.
anyhoo--back to studying after a saturday of required semi-rest. i had to go try on bridesmaids dresses in houston, and they were actually gorgeous! woo hoo!
