It is interesting to watch the A&M community's reaction to adversity. There seem to be three distinct camps - 1. The "RedAsses" - if you question the school, the schools activities, the coaches, the traditions, or the players, you suck and should be banished from the campus. We are A&M .... 2. The Normal People - those who realize that the program has its problems, and that it might be time to maybe move on, to make a change, including but not limited to the coaches ... and 3. The Idiots - FIRE RC! Throw 3 million at Jimmy Johnson! 8-3 Sucks! We should be playing for the MNC every year! (or, alternately) We're going to beat UT! By 30! It's Kyle Field!
Strangely enough, if I look back about five years, some of the same things happened at UT. I'll admit, mutiny and shitty football is never pretty, no matter where it happens. But I think it's pretty funny that a goodly number of Aggies said to us all those years ago "what horrible fans you guys have, calling for the coaches head after a number of good seasons ..." That, and I think social unrest is MUCH more noticeable at a place like A&M, where social dissention is so frowned upon.

"a"...so one would be ridiculous calling k state a better team than a&m, as well, correct? after all...
1)we have both lost to ou[a game i believe could have gone the other way had some things happened differently(i am NOT whining, but the failed fake punt, err...touchdown DID change the momentum of the game)]
2)we haven't experienced a losing "skid"(two games isn't a skid)
3)one would be hard-pressed to find a team with as many or more injuries than a&m(now even our 3rd string freshman are out) and...
4)we beat ksu
...therefore...a&m would have potentially been a top ten team, ahead of ksu and others? i think so(we could have been top 10, not top 5), just making sure you do.
and since all my family blood is husker red, i must say they are my odds-on favorite to win it all. depth, coaching, talent...
my ags? we don't have the first 2 this year, but we've got solid athletic talent, kyle field, and the 12th man...some pretty damn good intangibles if i do say so myself.
that is all.
go big red!
gig 'em ags! beat the HELL outta t.u.!
