I really like how people just blithely pass off UT as easily as one would swat a fly from one's shoulder. Apparently, if we aren't a top-3 team, we aren't a top 15 team either. So let's see, just real quicklike. We beat a UNC team 41-7 who then proceeded to THUMP FSU (granted, FSU is down, but it's still a quality win), as well as win it's last 4 games. We beat Tech like stepchildren, who then proceeded to beat KSt. We lost by 11 points to the #3 team in the nation, defending national champions with a 18 game winning streak - hardly an upset, and as damn fine a football game as I've seen this year. We then came out the next week and showed no signs of letdown, cruising to an asswhupping of lowly OSU. Kst and CU have shown themselves to be tough, but I see no reason for everyone to be predicting a UT home loss this weekend.
So blow me. All of you. Get the fuck off my bandwagon. UT is a legit top-10 team, and we're going to play like it this weekend. UT 35, CU 17.
And while I'm at it, you people who pass off the UT game in Kyle as an easy win because "Major isn't starting" or because "ya'll own UT at home" can blow me as well. Just keep thinking that you have a chance. Go on. Please. Cause you're right - Simms hasn't done shit this year, and didn't do shit against your team last year, either.

"Like I said before, we'll beat Iowa State, we'll beat Texas, and the Tech game the verdict is still out on."
HA! That's rich, dude. You astutely pointed out that the aggies barely beat Baylor at Kyle Field, and then you claim that you'll beat Texas, while the Tech game is still undecided. Better get some decent resources, because you're likely getting screwed in pick 'em. I can see how you could derive justification in your UT/A&M prediction since you squeaked by a VERY tough Baylor squad at home, but let's get serious for a moment. Texas is decidedly not Baylor, and even more decidedly not LCC. Do the numbers 42-7 mean anything to you? And Chris Simms is far better this year than he was when he roasted the Wrecking Crew for 234 yards and 3 TDs in the third freaking quarter last year. Team spirit is one thing, but unadulterated bias is entirely another.

Ya know, in regards to the A&M-UT rivalry...regardless of who "owns" whom for the last 5 years, or the last 10 years, or the last 90 fucking years...all it really matters is who plays better and who is leading when the clock hits 00:00 THIS YEAR. There is a little disclaimer they put at the bottom of every stock, bond, and mutual fund advertisement: "Past performance is no guarantee of future returns".
I think the A&M-UT game will be too close to call. UT is ranked better, but the game is at Kyle Field. A&M's offense seems to be manic-depressive this season, so it's anybody's guess as to how well they will play. Should be a good one....but 50-10? C'mon, get real. I don't think the Aggies have been blown out at Kyle Field by a margin like that for God knows how long. Unless fairy boy Simms sells his soul to the Devil, he won't get nearly as lucky as last year. If Major starts at QB (excuse me while I laugh at the astronomical odds of that) then it might be a different story. All in all though, I think it'll be a great game, but unless something goes horribly wrong, predictions of a blowout are just hype and nothing more.
