Haha, finally lost one, knew it was going to happen soon (nov 23 at the latest, hehe). How about the upsets. 2,8,9,12, 19,22,24,25 all lost i believe, and a few others too. hell, fresno state is losing as of now. I dont want to sound like the pessimist either, but im going to be pissed if miami doesnt drop to at least 12. we lost to a ranked team and fell to 11, but i doubt they will fall that far (partly due to losses). Oh well, interesting week for most teams in the top25.

since we're talking about cool austin bands i have to put in a good word for my friends in cruiserweight. i grew up with them and they rock. their website is cruiserweight.com, and no, i'm not getting paid by the band to advertise, i just enjoy plugging bands that i like. rock on.

Austin live music rules. Few more bands that you should check out - Flat Six plays Nov 5th at Vibe (fat tuesdays). Another band with a hot lead singer - Amy is all kinds of fine. Patrice Pike and the Black Box Rebellion. The lead singer (patrice, duh) and the guitarist (Wayne Sutton) used to be in Sister 7 before they broke up in April. They still rock, and Wayne is one of the pre-emminent (sp?) guitarists in the state. Check them out.

I am buzzing and just wanted to say that the Austin local music scene kicks ASS. Saw a couple of tight bands tonight at Room 710 on Red River. Y'all should check 'em out....Cinema West and Cicciolina. The lead singer of Cicciolina is fucking hot too.

Maybe we'll run a poll on the idea. I'm busy working on the whole new site backend.
